Stayed here recently for two nights. What a lovely relaxing break. Room was really comfortable with huge king sized bed and lovely crisp linen and with fantastic views. Breakfast was really nice and it was good to know that everything was locally sourced. Abi and Greg were great hosts and Abi was also a mine of helpful local information.

Laston House is a lovely Grade II listed building set in a wooded area close to Ilfracombe …. a 10-15 walk down to the harbour area, with shops and restaurants. Greg and Abi were fabulous hosts so welcoming and friendly. They were really lovely. The house is so tastefully decorated throughout with lovely pieces of art deco furniture throughout the property. The house is impeccably clean throughout. There’s a lovely lounge to sit in, which we did on the afternoon we arrived. Breakfast each morning freshly cooked to order and it was delicious. Bed so comfy. Plenty of car parking on site and the house is in a quiet location. Would definitely recommend Laston House it was such a lovely place to stay. One pub restaurant literally within a two minute walk of Laston House. The only small negative was Wi-Fi and phone signals dipped in and out generally in and around the area.

lovely holiday. Laston House B&B was everything expected and more, lovely hosts, very clean, delicious breakfast, wonderful sea views from the room, fabulously comfortable bed, walking distance to all attractions, can thoroughly recommend!!

We don't normally do reviews but I have to say that Laston House is such a lovely place to stay, it's very clean with nice large rooms. The breakfast is lovely and Abi, Greg and Sam are very welcoming and friendly. You won't find anywhere better.

We stayed in Brook House and our friend stayed in the Glass House and both of them were fantastic - with great views of the sea. Could not fault anything at all with our stay - would highly recommend a stay here - no matter what time of year. Looking forward to going back

Such a wonderful stay! Our room (room 6) was stunning, Sympathetically decorated and furnished, so it was in keeping with the era of the house, but with a modern twist. The huge bed was possibly the most comfy bed we have ever slept in. We received a very warm welcome including explaining the easiest way to reach the harbour (which is actually not too bad a walk - albeit a little steep in places) Breakfast was very tasty, with good quality local ingredients. Very much recommend a stay here as it extremely good value for money

Stayed at the Laston in one of the self catering flats called the Coach house. Very impressed. Sea views , 10 mins walk to the quayside, 2 mins to the Thatched Inn. The property was fitted out to a very high standard with everything you would need for a self contained stay…utility room with wash and drying,, well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Definitely recommend for a family of up to six people. Top location.

When booking the ferry for a visit to Lundy, Laston House is one of the hotel / B&Bs that are suggested. With the jetty an easy 15 minute walk away and the opportunity to leave the car during your trip to the island, Laston House is a very convenient choice. Service is friendly and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The building itself is stylish and characterful. The one aspect that stops it earning five stars is that breakfast isn't served until 8.15am, which doesn't rest well with the ferry company's request that you arrive at the jetty to check in luggage at 9.00. But otherwise, there's nothing to fault!

Laston house is a real gem, and a real asset to Ilfracombe. We hired out Laston house for our wedding weekend. Abi has been so helpful throughout the booking process and so accommodating. The house is truly beautiful, the wonderful staircase and big bay windows allowing so much natural light made for the perfect photos. The house was immaculate and all rooms were so comfortable. The location could not be more perfect, with sea views and a local pub within walking distance. We are so glad that our wedding venue messed up our original booking meaning we had to seek out alternative accommodation because Laston house was so very perfect. We will be returning for years to come.
