The Wheatley Arms

Very good choice of food which catered for everyone ( including teenager snd pensioner with special dietary requirements). The food was excellent, in particular the sea bass. The waiter and manager were very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to ensure everyone enjoyed the meal. I have been with family twice recently and on both occasions it was excellent. We will go back.

We had a fantastic stay at the Wheatley Arms in Ilkley. Our deluxe room was stylish and incredibly comfortable-ideal for a night away. The room had USB-A and C charging points, a nespresso coffee machine, coffee bags and flavoured tea, small fridge, robes and slippers. Lots of parking and good wifi. The room was spotless. We enjoyed a delicious evening meal in the restaurant, everything was cooked to perfection and full of flavour. The pea and mint soup was amazing. The service was really friendly and attentive throughout, creating a really welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast the next morning was just as impressive with lots of choice from the menu. From the cozy setting to the excellent food and comfortable stay, everything was spot on. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area.

We have today had lunch at The Wheatley Arms near Ilkley. We have two dogs and we were all made very welcome. Recently refurbished the interior is very stylish. The staff were very friendly, the food was really very good and the price wasn't outrageous. All in all I would recommend a visit if you're in the area and we will most definitely be returning when we are in the area again.

Meal reservation Christmas Eve. This was booked in advance for 7pm. The food arrived at seperate times, cold and very badly cooked and presented. Served like slop to be polite. A rare complainer, but this ruined our Christmas Eve. My husbands meal never arrived, nor did the cutlery. We went home hungry with a courtesty bottle of cheap champagne for the gesture. A huge shame as the refurbishment is beautiful.

Just had two nights here, excellent service from start to finish. Breakfast was first class and staff extremely helpful. Had food on the first night, whilst watching football, the food was very enjoyable. Room again very good. It’s our second stay at this hotel. We will be returning.

Wonderful stay. Beautiful hotel and in a peaceful area. Breakfast was absolutely perfect. Was shocked to hear that the hotel is closing for renovation in July, as the place is spotless. Hope they don't lose the character of the place after the renovation. Will definitely like to revisit when you reopen in November.
