Parc-Le-Breos House

Really liked this hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, our rooms were clean and comfortable, the food (both breakfast and dinner) was excellent. In beautiful surroundings also.

Incredibly beautiful, tranquil and welcoming. My partner and I felt relaxed and looked after in this very special hotel. We were fortunate to meet the owner who was such an interesting and kind man who has cared for his family home in a way that guests can share in it. The grounds are large, beautifully kept and so well situated for amazing coastal walks. Can’t wait to return.

The location was perfect to spend some time eating an afternoon tea on Wednesday 30th July celebrating our wedding anniversary. We boxed the middle layer of cakes in to a take away box and left them on our table for a drink outside. When we returned, the box had disappeared. We asked the very helpful staff as to their whereabouts and they said that they had not cleared them away or put them in fridge for safe keeping. We can only assume that someone in the' 50th birthday celebration', table had taken them. An estimate of £15 to £20 worth of cakes had gone missing......a bitter ending, to what would have been a lovely afternoon!

Please be aware that the hotel has no lift. If you cannot use stairs discuss your needs with the hotel manager. The hotel is set in a very quiet situation at the end of a long drive. There are some passing places, but care is needed when negotiating the drive to the hotel. The hotel has no separate room which can be used as a lounge. There are some lounge is part of the entrance to the hotel. Games and maps are available for visitors. There is a good choice for breakfast and a cooked breakfast is cooked to order. There is plenty of choice for vegetarians and vegans. The dinner menu doesn’t change if you’re staying for several days. Personally I found the dinner menu rather too “eccentric” for me, with some of the mixtures of main courses unnecessarily “fussy”. The bedroom was spacious and it was wonderful to wake up to the sight of house martins flying around. However, it was annoying on one night to hear people (presumably the staff) talking outside the main door at 11.30pm! The staff were polite, well trained and amenable at all times. It’s an ideal venue from which to explore Gower.

Our party of 30 was very disappointed and felt let down having had a very good meal here last year. The service was very haphazard with meals being delivered randomly and some people waiting for 30 minutes. Vegetables and gravy were missing from some tables and desserts had to be asked for. The food was generally good but the random deliveries meant that we were all eating at different times. No apologies were offered until we made a complaint towards the end of the lunch. We had selected our choices and paid in advance so there was really no excuse for such bad service.

We had such a lovely stay this weekend. The setting is stunning with beautiful grounds, and a short walk to Three Cliffs Bay. My room was beautifully decorated and spacious. There was a great range of food choices, and the staff were all incredibly polite, helpful and friendly. I couldn’t recommend this place enough!
