I stayed at Hotel Relais Villa Olmo from June 11th to June 13th, 2024, expecting a four-star experience, but was deeply disappointed. Upon arrival, we found that both the safe and phone in our room were not working. Although the safe was eventually fixed, the phone was never repaired, which was a significant inconvenience. The water supply in our room was disrupted multiple times during our stay, leaving us without water for prolonged periods. This, combined with the lack of a working phone to report the issues, was frustrating. The room also housed a noisy boiler serving multiple other rooms, which was very disruptive. Additionally, some of the restaurant staff were quite rude, which led us to dine out for the remainder of our stay. What sums up the type of hotel you’re dealing with is that management never even responded to our complaint. The lack of follow-up and accountability is troubling for a supposed four-star establishment. Overall, the hotel seems more suited to facilitate daily wine tasting excursions than to function as a proper hotel. It feels like the hotel component was just an afterthought. I hope the hotel addresses these issues to improve the experience for future guests.
