Villa Lanca Activities

I selected Inari for my third attempt to see the Northern Lights because it was attractive for other reasons too. There are a diverse range of activities, and it is the heart of Sami culture in Finland, which I find interesting. I chose Villa Lanca Guest House because of its location- right next to the main supermarket, a few hundred metres from a good restaurant, and most importantly a 2 minute walk from the bus stop- which is important when you have a very early bus out of town on your last day. All I was really looking for was a fairly priced, central location with a clean bed. I got so much more. My room was absolutely lovely and immaculate, with good facilities. The owner, Sato, was super kind and nothing seemed too much trouble for her. She offered excursions but not in a pushy way at all . I had already booked my activities sadly, but i sort of regretted it, because Sato had so many options I hadn't seen online. She was helpful suggesting option for free self-guided hikes, and things to do on the lake. Basically she knew the area and had lots of ideas to share with visitors. i was keen to try some snowshoeing as I'd never done it before. I expected to have to pay for a short guided excursion- but Sato sorted this out too. Knowing I only needed a bit of an experience, she lent me some snow shoes and told me how to get to the frozen lake to give it a go. I thought that was very kind. I really enjoyed my stay at Villa Lanca- the location is literally the best in town, the price is I think the fairest in town, and the owner really looks after her guests and maintains a superb facility.

Terribile. In tanti anni di viaggi (anche in posti molto meno turistici e civilizzati) non ho MAI MAI MAI trovato un posto così tremendo, per la PRIMA volta in vita mia siamo scappati la mattina dopo una notte infernale Nelle stanze di sopra appena si entra una puzza di cane bagnato ATROCE ti afferra la gola (non siamo neanche riusciti a mangiare tanto era forte!) e la stanza era in condizioni veramente PIETOSE: peli, capelli e muffa in bagno (la ragazza lo ha risciacquato al volo togliendo giusto quello che si vedeva in superficie) capelli per terra OVUNQUE e polvere dappertutto (perfino delle ragnatele sulla tenda con meno 8 gradi, non voglio neanche sapere da quanto nessuno ci passava una pezza) ma la cosa più oscena è stato trovare peli pubici e capelli anche nel letto e soprattutto scoprire che entrambi i cuscini (oltre che pieni di bozzi) erano TOTALMENTE gialli, puzzolenti di sudore e di bava, una cosa veramente indecente Ci hanno portato un cambio di lenzuola a tarda sera (ma figuriamoci se ci mettevamo a rifare il letto dopo una giornata intera di viaggio) ma ci siamo limitati a restare vestiti e a mettere un asciugamano su quei cuscini DISGUSTOSI con la sola idea di fuggire il giorno dopo, cosa che abbiamo fatto e udite udite CI HANNO PURE FATTO PAGARE LA PRIMA NOTTE nonostante fossero coscienti di averci affittato un tugurio dove non farei dormire manco i miei cani, figuriamoci una persona. Leggete anche le recensioni di google e fate i un’idea Ah Sono stati gli unici a fare l’escursione con gli husky, tutti gli altri hotel e le altre agenzie avevano disdetto perché c’era troppa poca neve e i cani ne avrebbero sofferto quindi abbiamo evitato Non vi rovinate la vacanza, spendete qualcosa in più ma soprattutto NON TOCCATE QUEI CUSCINI 🤢 Elisa presenta quella che credo essere la sua socia come ‘accumulatrice seriale’ e lo fa con nonchalanche perché a lei comunque la pagano 🤷🏻 Anche in agenzia un disordine pazzesco, o
