Be cautious in trusting this hotel with your credit card info. We had an issue with unauthorized charge. I would never book this hotel again. I see numerous bad reviews for this location. I wish I had looked at the reviews before booking. We would have made a different choice.

Had stayed here a couple years ago when new so thought we'd try it again. Big mistake. Schedule a weekend of fun activities with family, including grandkids. Didn't get type of room requested upon arrival, we're told couldn't change because they were sold out on the second night of our stay? Five-year old wet bed first night, specifically told front desk and asked housekeeping to service room but when we returned from our days activities housekeeping had not come. Front desk was of little help, but did provide clean sheets. Asked for a new mattress cover we were told, after a manager was called, that they didnt have those (think about that if you stay). Best part of stay was breakfast bar, Ryan did an excellent job of checking and restocking a nice breakfast offering. Place needs more Ryans.

Broken towel rack, usb charging outlet didn't work, horrible food safety, food not kept at proper temperatures, milk improperly labeled,pool deck excessively slippery

We met my parents in Independence (2 rooms, 1 night) to attend a Yankees/Royals game. The rooms were clean. The beds were very comfortable... my husband usually has a hard time sleeping at hotels, and he even commented on the comfort of them. The pool is a little small, but was clean. The location to the stadium and many stores/restaurants is great! Overall, this was a great hotel for the value.

The room was filthy. Hairs in the bathroom, previous spills not cleaned up. Old soap bottles, wrappers and dust bunnies under the bathroom vanity. Dried food along the bed platform. Grass in the bed. Sticky TV remote. A disappointment for a BW.

The double room was spacious. I liked the really huge, well lighted bathroom. Our 2nd floor room was quiet and comfortable. The small breakfast room was busy when we were there and they ran out of waffle mix. I love waffles... next time. Desk guy was nice and answered all our questions patiently.

The man at the front was very unwelcoming and didn’t let us know that breakfast was over at 9am so we missed our “free” breakfast. The room had candy wrappers on the bedside table and the toilet was low flow so it wouldn’t flush properly. The tv remote didn’t work but the guy at the desk brought up two. One to change the channel and one to turn it off. This place was our go to for a local getaway im sad to see how far down it’s gone.

The Best Western Independence is clean & comfortable. Tucked into a side street off I-70 & near a shopping mall & several good restaurants, it was close to the function I was attending for the weekend. Having a hot breakfast with multiple options was particularly nice i the morning. I would recommend it to any of my friends or fellow travellers.

This is a very nice facility and we have stayed here four times, as we travel to Colorado each year. Extremely convenient to the Interstate 70. Rooms were small but adequate. Room clean and had all amenities. Very nice bathroom. Breakfast was good and well stocked.
