Brilliant place to stay for mountain bikers, warm shower and comfy bed with a top breakfast included. Evening meals are fantastic as well.

Hotel was good, meals and breakfast were great! Room small and cold needs a little bit of TLC I would like to thank all the staff and chefs for their hospitality and service it was fantastic! The staff are the reason people return as a team they were outstanding nothing was too much trouble

Traditional hotel set in a lovely village and handily located next to a micro brewery, what’s not to like. Very well appointed family room with en-suite, coffee etc. Secure storage for bikes. Great staff. Food very nice. Great value for money.

An extremely disappointing meal. Steak Frites and Peppercorn Sauce with Fries £14.95. Four pieces of indeterminable meat (steak apparently) each slice the size of a man's index finger, a tiny pot of sauce that was merely brown water and bore no relation to peppercorns whatsoever and a small cage of frozen chips fried in cheap oil. No veg, no salad or dressings at all. Something like prison food I imagine.

I can’t recommend the Traquair Arms highly enough, from the first moment that I walked into the reception the attention to detail and service was first class, all the staff were really helpful and the service was spot on, and the owner David, could not of done more to make me feel welcome and share his knowledge of the area which was really helpful. I will defiantly be going back when in the area.

3x blokes, road cycling trip across Scotland. September 2023. Fantastic hotel, and exceptionally good value. Location is brilliant, lovely ride in along the marked Scottish C2C route, the hotel is right on the route so no detours. Staff excellent and friendly from start-to-finish. Checked our 3 bikes into the self-service secure storage. Enjoyed a great (well earned) 3 course dinner in the hotel restaurant, which had a great atmosphere and as mentioned, lovely staff. (There is also a great brewery tap next door if you fancy a change of scenery - we didn't manage to get further than that in the village!) Breakfast served early, first-class traditional Scottish - but plenty of other options. Unlimited coffee and juice, we were really happy. Rooms are good for the price, simple "pub with rooms" style, remember. Everything needed for a stay of this type. It was very hot, but I still slept well. Highly recommended, we'd stay at Traquair Arms again without hesitation.

We overnighted at this hotel on our way home from the Highlands, and have no hesitation in recommending as a lovely place to stay, the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food was excellent. The room was well appointed. Our young cocker spaniel was welcomed and offered water and one or two treats! Highly recommend

This was a great find after staying overnight in a forestry commission approved motorhome stop over site. I had fish and chips and the chips ( hand cut) were the BEST chips I’ve ever had! My husband had pie of the day which was chicken and haggis served with mash. I gave him half of one of my chips ( a little grudging maybe), and he said they were the best chips he never had!

Very friendly local hotel with excellent food. Staff very friendly and accommodating since we booked wrong week (a feature of *********** to assume next weekend not today!) Incredibly busy bars and restaurant but still squeezed us in cheerfully. Bar meals excellent and large - ideal after a days walking, or biking for most of the guests. Breakfast was the perfect start to a day’s activities- tho lots of lighter options and staff were happy to make whatever guests wanted from beans on toast to crumpets. Room was very clean warm and fully equipped with plentiful hot water. Look forward to return visit!
