Racv Inverloch Resort

Pleasant 1 night stay, lots of contractors all over the place, I guess renovations are happening, restaurant was closed for dinner, not sure why, no room service available either, breakfast wasn’t included in our rate so we didn’t get to try buffet either, we might be back to use more facilities

Hi I thoroughly enjoyed my two day stay. My room was so practical and chic.I was upgraded to a room with a view of the sea and the birds. The gardens are all indigenous and the wetlands were terrific. The paths are well maintained and a walk around the property is always refreshing. The restaurant was closed on Tuesday and I missed it but I do understand why. The pool is a lovely area and another highlight for me. The staff is friendly and helpful and give a relaxing feeling to the resort. It is very well positioned as there is so much to see around the area. A lovely visit. Thank you

Reception quick check in.Good view fom room.Room was small and over priced.Resturant meals were overpriced but tasty.Had to ask twice for my drinks order.Woke up in morning found a bug walking across my bed.Disappointed more effort wasnt made from staff as they were notified it was our 40 th Wedding Anniversary

We were greeted at reception by "Yes" not hi how are you or how can we help you - just "Yes". Hubby and I have stayed at Creswick RACV resort 3 time which is much cheaper and have loved staying there, especially the friendly staff. We though we would try Inverloch as its a little closer and we wouldn't have to go through the city. So far our experience couldn't be more opposite from Creswick. After going to our room to have a rest as hubby had worked all morning before driving here, all we could here in our room was a group of people talking loudly in the next room. I realised we had an interconnecting room with them so the noise was easily travelling into our room. I went to reception and spoke to the same woman again, who looked annoyed she had to take her headset off to talk to me. I asked if there were multiple people staying in that room and she just said no there's only 2 people per room. I said well there's more than that in there and with the interconnecting room door the noise is coming straight into our room. She said well it's a hotel, there's other people staying here and they probably just have friends in their room. I said well the interconnecting done isn't helping to which she said in her snooty way, it's not our problem, that's just the way the hotel is designed. Nothing we can do about it. The service in the bar after that was no better. We were clearly looking for a menu only to be ignored. I then asked for a menu and was told they were on the tables. There was not 1 on a spare table. Was then told oh you can have that one there. As someone who paid extra to have a Premium room at $275.00 a night this is not a premium room and definitely not premium service! Do yourself a favour, save money and go to Creswick RACV resort instead if you want to go to an RACV resort.

Had a 3 night stay ina 2 bed villa. Villa was excellent, and it was fun to see the kangaroos hopping around. Food in the restaurant was OK, the light meals in the bar were much better, and the views were great. However I wouldn’t book again due to the dreadful mattress, very little sleep and a sore back, and it must be a common occurrence because as we checked out another visitor was complaining about the same thing, such a shame as the location and the villa are lovely.

Excellent venue in a wonderful position. Very large room and bathroom and all in great condition. Nice dining room and lounge but the dinner menu is great for the first nigh but becomes a bit boring and limited for the second nigh due to lack of choice particularly if you can't eat fish.

We were looking forward to spending 2 nights in a lovely fully equiped cabin near the bush after having all sorts of issues trying to confirm our booking with RACV. Desperately need to streamline communication…and it was lovely except most cabin verandahs faced the car park not the bush. What were they thinking!! Again communication was an issue when we arrived and faced the rude woman at reception and then the fact that our welcome letter in the cabin had someone else’s name on it. When we rang to tell them she brushed it off saying, “ That’s okay, you can stay there!! No apology. We did however love the bar views and happy hour. Just a pity that holidays can easily be made fabulous simply by staff being friendly, courteous and respectful.

Inverloch is a good 1.5 hours drive from Melbourne but driving through the beautiful pastures of South Gippsland on the way to Inverloch is a wonderful experience in itself. The immediate impression on arrival was that the resort had an old worldly feel about it with well established rooms, a reasonably formal dining room and a more casual coffee lounge with a reduced but adequate menu. The resort has many walking tracks and access to the beach directly opposite. The features were not experienced as we chose to drive an hour to Phillip Island to the nightly penguin parade, which is a wonderful experience and highly recommended. On returning from Philip Island we ate in the casual lounge and thoroughly enjoyed the food. We were a little surprised at the prices in the main dining room which are not for those on a low budget.

This is one of the best values accommodations around. 5 stars without the prices. Modern room overlooked the sea, very clean with an enormous bathroom. Everything in the room worked, nice change. I could even work the TV controls with asking for help, also a nice change. Front desk staff were fantastic, nothing too much trouble. Loved it .
