Highland Bear Lodge & Luxury Bear Huts

We stayed here for my 10 year wedding anniversary, the stay from beginning to end was fab. The lodge is very atmospheric with a library and a log fire place. I wish I had time to sit and curl up with a good book but we only had two days and a lot to fit it in. We stayed in the Mary queen of scots room which was a good size the bed was really soft and the in room facilities were top notch. We booked the moonlight tour with Mark and he took us round the local are and we visited lots of hidden gems. His local knowledge was fantastic and it's easy to see how much he loves the area. Me and my husband had a wonderful time. Thank you highland bear lodge. We hope to come back soon

The lodge is situated in a very beautiful environment with a beautiful view. The reception was not personal, but excellently organized. The breakfast offered was already in the fridge, good and plentiful. The lodge as a whole and the rooms were originally decorated, very nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. Due to the quiet location, we all slept very well.

We had the pleasure of staying at the Highland Bear Lodge in the Bonnie Prince Charlie suite. The lodge was stunning to look at and the surroundings to match. Our room was like we were transported back in time and was complete luxury. The fine details of the furniture and personal items makes the lodge very special. The thoughtfulness of the breakfast provided and how it is set up for you shows how great your hosts are and how they know that little things do matter. We loved staying at the lodge and would highly recommend it.

Absolutely beautiful, relaxing and very well maintained place to stay, we stayed in the grizzly bear hut for four nights, well thought out and immaculate accommodation, milk with tea/ coffee and breakfast bits all ready, easy access to hut on arrival everything you need for your scottish adventure, plenty to do and see with breath taking scenery

Highland Bear Lodge was beautiful! The location, the room, all the little touches were just perfect. We stayed for 2 nights in the Bonnie Prince Charlie suite and absolutely loved having sole use of the hot tub. Our stay was the relaxation that we needed. Thanks Mark!

Beautiful location..... felt like we were staying in a castle. Loved in room breakfast...croissants delicious. Great place for exploring Loch Ness. Rooms spacious and comfortable with beautiful views across the Glen. Saw a stag and red squirrels in the grounds

For one of the nights on our annual trip to Scotland, we decided to stay in again near Loch Ness. I always look out for B&B's outside of larger towns, and in the middle of nature. Well, you can't go wrong with Highland Bear Lodge. Not so far of the town of Drumnadrochit or even Inverness, but nicely tucked away in the hills to Cannich. Lovely, spacious room and bathroom. Easy self check-in and a continental breakfast ready in your room to eat the next morning. We booked an Organic Highland Tour with the owner, Mark Dann, and we would definitely recommend it! You get to see some roads, of the beaten track and we were lucky enough to spot some deer.

Stayed in one of the bear huts at Highland Bear lodge and am very glad that I did. The host had made arriving and checking in a seamless experience with plenty of detail via email beforehand and plenty on arrival. The surroundings are really out of this world, well kept and in tune with the locality. The hut was very comfortable, with everything you could possibly need to hand. I’ll be booking again here without a doubt, I could sit outside at the table for ever and a day. Bed comfy, electric kettle, tv, shower, wc, cooking rings, bbq, fridge, heating… all in a bear hut. Most importantly… nature and peace!

We stayed for just one night in the Bonnie Prince Charlie suite. Beautiful room, had a big four poster bed which was so comfy, plenty of storage space and absolutely everything you’d need. The bathroom was very spacious and everywhere was very clean. We had our continental breakfast already in the room for us, which was generous in size and there was something for everyone! We had robes to wear and really did feel like Lord and Lady of the Manor! The highlight of the break away was the exclusive use of the hot tub, which was just outside our room. We relaxed in there for hours and looked down onto the valley with the loch, it was just idyllic and perfect in every way. You really need to experience it to understand just how beautiful the setting is! Mark was a great host and the communication prior to our stay was fab. I would recommend this place to anyone who just wants to get away from it all for a while. I cannot wait to come back here!
