Aye Stay

First let me say that the owners were incredibly kind and accommodating. It pains me that to even write this but I thought fellow travelers should hear my experience. First, there are two aye stays in Inverness. My gps took me to the wrong one first. That was awkward. After I finally figured it out, the place was very cutely decorated with Scottish and Loch Ness decor. Contactless check in was easy however a board with everyone’s name and room numbers does not feel super safe for me a solo female traveler. But over all easy enough. Next I stayed in room 7 which is up a flight of stairs so make sure you pack light! (Which you should do anyway in Scotland.) My room had just been renovated with new carpet but it smelled like off gassing and I had to open the window (which was broken) there was a radiator for heat which I had no idea how to use. So it got a little chilly. Now here comes the problems: the rooms are very close together and the walls are paper thin. I was kept up until 3 in the morning hearing conversations and snoring. We were only given the choice of receiving breakfast between 7:30-8:30 in the dining room. So I woke up earlier than I would have liked to eat breakfast. Which was just okay. Nothing too outstanding to write about but again the hostess was very sweet. Overall I could see that they’re trying their best. But I would recommend sound machines in each of the rooms or something so people can have a good nights sleep. The location was pretty good and just over the bridge from the high street.

Travelled with 2 kids . We loved our stay here . The location was awesome . Room was apt and very clean . Breakfast was very nice & service offered by the staff was very very good . Highly recommend !

Very lovely clean hotel, The room was very cosy, and the bed was very comfy location was great, and the breakfast are amazing. Staffs are very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended. They also have a restaurant located in the town.

Excellent all round, highly recommend. Breakfast was amazing attention to detail amazing, clean tidy, parking available. Location is good if you desire to be near town centre. Value for money it is one of the best best bed and breakfast I have come across.

We had a wonderful two nights at Aye Stay in Inverness. Our room was clean and very spacious, and the boys absolutely loved the bunk beds – they were a big hit! We enjoyed breakfast both mornings, which was delicious and offered a great variety to start our day. We also appreciated Roberta letting us leave our bags in the morning - as we had come in on the Caledonian Sleeper that morning. The highlight of our stay was dinner at the Aye Eat restaurant the first night - the food was excellent Scottish fare and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. The location was convenient for exploring Inverness, and the hospitality was top-notch. Highly recommended for families or anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

Really enjoyed my overnight stay here. I had a single room but the bed was so comfortable and the room quiet so I had an excellent sleep. The breakfast was lovely and fresh cooked. This place has all you need for an overnight stay with free parking and just a 5 minute walk to the centre. Will certainly be back.

Aye Stay is in a great location--it's in a nice residential neighborhood, and only about 10 minute walk to the river and 15 minutes to the downtown area. The breakfast dining area is decorated beautifully and they play some nice Scottish music. The food was very good. The room was very nice.
