Ialna Boutique Hotel

Located centrally within the castle walls. Parking is a struggle in the area. The hotel is attractive with spacious rooms. For us, there was the negative of it being a third floor walk up with skylights and no other windows. Others may not object but we NEVER are content in a room you can’t see out of. Breakfast was about average except fresh OJ was not on offered, the first time in three weeks travel in Greece where fresh squeezed orange juice wasn’t on the buffet.

Lovely hotel. Unfortunately they were short staffed and the owner was filling in. We had issues with air conditioning not working and it turns out ( I think) that temperature in rooms is controlled at desk and it seemed to be in heating and not cooling mode. Little issues like soap not being refilled in shower, battery in safe needed replacing. It was hard to reach anyone for assistance. The owner was trying very hard however and gave both of us couples a bottle of wine.

staff very considerate and polite especially Violeta who was very understanding when we had a family issue. the beds are comfy the hotel is clean the breakfast is enough, only one negative which is that coffee in room does not get replenished and there is none outside of breakfast time. although there is not much of a view from either of our rooms there was a very pretty courtyards space. The location was great. Would stay again x

A boutique hotel with great atmosphere. Everything was perfect. - A very warm welcome at the reception. - The room is beautiful, very special with nice touches. The bathroom is spacious. A comfy bed with linens that are of the best I've ever slept on (wonder what they are). - Delicious breakfast with a wide selection of products. - Location - central, within the castle walls. The city can be explored by foot. We had a wonderful experience.

We had the most incredible stay at the Ialna and highly recommend it to anyone looking to travel to Ioannina! Here are some of the MANY reasons why you should choose the Ialna: - The location is perfection! Located right in the castle walls, everything feels magical and walkable. - The pictures do not do the hotel justice!! The hotel is absolutely stunning, from the lobby to the courtyard, to the spacious rooms, it is all beautiful. The exposed white brick is really romantic and just gorgeous. - Rooms are so special and clean! One of the few places we have traveled to and didn’t want to leave the room. - Wine Cellar!!!! Just an amazing feature to walk downstairs to and have a bottle of wine in the wine cellar. - The NICEST staff. Everyone was so helpful. After being stranded at the airport, we called the hotel and the front desk sent us a cab! They answered all of our questions. Violet was particularly kind at the breakfast spread on the courtyard! Felt like we had known her a lifetime. There is no other option when traveling to Ioannina! Can’t wait to stay there again!

Wonderful little hotel we’d definitely stay at again - but not in the same room. The a/c was ineffective and the windows opened on to the street. But comfy room, lovely breakfast and friendly staff. However unless you have a very small car and don’t mind tiny - and I mean tiny - streets, you might prefer parking outside the castle walls as even though they give you a parking card for inside the castle you might need a stiff drink after trying to find a parking place.
