Excellent Service and great Food. It’s very clean place and the staff is so friendly. We come again and we highly recommend the Strandhotel. The beautiful setting on the lake with the fantastic mountains panorama in front. If you want a relaxed day. Take the boat from Interlaken to Iseltwald. See you soon thanks to everyone!

The staff was very rude and the breakfast was not good. Infact they wre telling that the breakfast was over. The senior lady staff was pathetic and super rude. She bluntly told that we have no more croissant I was having no words to that. Pathetic

We arrived in the late afternoon to be welcomed by Nicole who spoke excellent English. She informed us that a group had booked the rest of the rooms in the hotel and that we were being given a free upgrade to a comfort room. The room was on the corner of the hotel overlooking the pier where the ferry landed. There were no less than 5 windows in the room. Patio doors gave access to a large balcony with chairs, loungers and a table. The bathroom had a spacious shower. We had booked half board and the food was very good and varied, all the waiters were helpful. Breakfast was good but if you wanted either a fried egg or scrambled eggs there was an extra charge. Switzerland is expensive but with the free upgrade and the food we thought it was worth it. It was interesting to see many Korean people having their photographs taken on a pier where you had to pay 5 SF to get on it. Apparently a scene from Crash landing on you was set here.

So this is not about our stay. I was looking to book the room and i found one room on Hotel website available. But then i found one tripadvisor review where someone mentioned how their booking got cancelled by the hotel. So to double check I called the hotel. Lady over the phone was extremely rude. I asked availability she said we are fully booked and then i asked how your website is showing room available. her answer was "If i m saying we r booked then we r booked." she cut the phone down.

This hotel is absolutely amazing, a small family run hotel. Literally on the lake and the boat stopped right outside our window. Such friendly staff , food was fantastic, especially considering the high cost of eating out in Switzerland. Such thoughtful little touches, such as an umbrella to use in the wardrobe. Our flight was delayed and they even made sure we still had our evening meal. I would definitely recommend, thank you for an amazing holiday

5 out of 5 because of the location and fantastic views . A big thumbs up also to the excellent customer service , especially to Marc who is friendly and attentive to all the guest . The hotel itself is new , nice and clean , the food is good , I will Highly recommend this hotel to my friends and family . Thank you.

Highly recommended! Best hotel in Iseltwald. Everything was perfect- location, facilities, staff, breakfast. Few steps away from the landing stage of Crash Landing On you kdrama. Also, bus station is just 2 min walk from the hotel Staff were very nice and accomodating! They even prepared a special breakfast on our last day there. They really made our trip very memorable and special! Would love to be back here!

I rarely go back to a place , but this is one of the few holidays where not only would I go back , but also where we felt a week was not long enough. I cannot find enough superlatives to express both the hotel and Iseltwald itself . The location is fantastic , overlooking the lake with superb views . The staff are very friendly and helpful - even loaning a mains converter when ours did not work . The food was exceptional , great breakfast , but I”d recommend half board to enjoy the evening meals . Their steaks and also fish curry with fruit are some of the best I”ve had. Its a small family run hotel and certainly one of my favourites . They even provided a card to give free access to Interlaken bus service Iseltwald is the prettiest village I have been too and Strand hotel has the best views . We will certainly be back Finally I recommend upgrading to a lake view with balcony

Pretty near perfection. Spent 2 weeks with the Hornung family and it felt like we were staying with family. All the staff and management excellent. Was going to Agadir next year. Not now. Roll on 2024
