Eslanzarote Luxurious Eco Dome Experience

This place is quite expensive so make the most of your time there. We arrived late and left early which meant we didn’t get much time to enjoy the terrace. We booked this whole hiking the Gr131, but it’s not ideal for that as its a 25-minute walk out of town. After a long day hiking there was no way we were going to walk, in the dark to the town centre again. As there is no taxi or delivery service, Pedro the host brought us take away pizzas. Which was awesome! The dome was super clean and had really nice touches and even a little Christmas tree. It has good WiFi, a really hot shower and a very comfortable bed. The kitchen had had everything we needed and some teabags, a bottle of wine and water. I wish we had more time here.

We were looking forward to staying in what we thought would have been a special place. Despite staff being very courteous and the welcome very appreciated, this place had so many downsides we left the premises after just one night. We lost the money paid in advance for the continuation of our staying, but it was worth leaving these premises. The plastic cover of these "echo" bubbles (which is everything but "echo") provides a terrible smell inside the premises (imagine what warm weather conditions may provoke on plastic to get an idea) and the windy conditions we experienced during the night made the whole shelter shake and produce unbearable beating noise: we could not sleep at all. Moreover, despite this place being isolated, extensive lighting is left on all night long (we suppose for security reasons) and the much awaited spotting of the milky way was impossible. We are afraid this place is an absolute no go in our opinion. What a shame!

Déception totale. La vue, qui est censée être un des points forts du logement, est complètement obstruée par une bâche tachée, rendant le séjour sans intérêt. Le chauffage est totalement insuffisant : la climatisation ne s’allume que 4 fois dans la nuit pendant 10 à 20 minutes, et la température à l’intérieur est descendue à 15 degrés, ce qui est inadmissible, surtout avec un enfant de 2 ans qui s’est réveillé plusieurs fois à cause du froid. Le logement ne correspond absolument pas à ce qui est présenté dans l’annonce, que ce soit pour la vue ou le confort. Nous avons l’habitude de voyager, et c’est la première fois que nous vivons une telle expérience. Nous n’avons qu’une seule hâte : quitter cet hébergement. Nous sommes extrêmement déçus et ne recommandons absolument pas ce logement.
