Lovely place and wonderful proprietor. Brae Lea house is a quick drive from the ferry and so very easy to find. After a stressful day of travel, this was a beautiful place to land. The room was spacious with places to put our belongings, the bathroom was warm and comfortable with an excellent shower. As a bonus, the room even had comfortable chairs. If you didn't like those chairs (and who wouldn't) there were also comfortable seats in the front room. Breakfast was delicious. Our only disappointment was that we only booked the room for one night! If you happen to travel to the Isle of Uist, (and why wouldn't you?) this is an excellent place to stay.

This was the most wonderful place! Rupert is wonderful, the breakfast was delicious, the beds were so cozy. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling through!

Lovely night stay. Comfortable room and bed clean and great shower room. Comfortable lounge for gests with a nice view. Rupert was friendly and helpful, with of advice on the area abd wgere to eat. Breakfast was very nice we both had scrambled egg and smoked salmon.

I was the only guest because of some ferry schedule disruption. Rupert was a very gracious host. The guest lounge was fantastic, with birding books and a pair of binuculous. There is also a little cubby library by the entrance with interesting books on local history. There is also ample free parking at the back. My room was very comfortable with the fluffiest duvet!

arrived at Brae Lea House, was easy to find, signs all over the place, was greeted by Rupert the owner, shown our rooms was very small, no where to put your cases, everything was on top of other things, shower room was very nice, breakfast was good, expect for the fried breakfast, found it very greasy the fried egg had been over cooked, no yolk, have to say Rupert was very informal, even checked our ferry as it was so rough through we might have to stay another night, no luck was the ferry left on time, he writes a small book, if you go follow the book, it took us all over places we wouold not have known about, there is ca rparking on site and a nice lounge to sit in and relaxe
