I stayed at this hotel in early winter, 2024, when I reported the trash accumulation in my apartment to the receptionist. He came up and took the trash saying that they have a new housekeeper and been striving to train her. Same shortcoming, however, was repeated. In the third time, the receptionist was less care and stated that the housekeepers refused to respond to my request of cleaning because one of them was upset from reporting the trash accumulation to the front disk. Mr. Ahmed, another receptionist, said that what has been said by the other receptionist was not true and offered his apology. Surprisingly, he revealed to me that the basic job of the other receptionist (whom we have been dealing with as a receptionist in different shifts) is a Bellman (i.e., assisting guests in carrying bags and similar services). Once, this gentleman suggested that I bring with me my trash to their front disk when I leave my apartment. I would have done so from the beginning had I known where to dispose it in. Although the location is great, this hotel hardly deploys more than one person in a shift, who volunteers to do maintenance, compensate for forgotten refills, and dispose the trash for you when their housekeepers don’t. Disposing accumulated trash is not unusual due to apparently housekeepers who are bullies to the receptionist and maybe their management. Additionally, the hotel has some rooms that offered to incapacitate 2 adults, but are so small that one can only jump to the bed from its end and leave his suitcase in the lounge. Add to above, the poor maintained toilet, wooden floor, AC’s, heaters, and balcony door, etc. The corridor before the lift (in the ground floor) is hard to allow exit and entering for more than one person at a time. Also, I noticed an apparent disgusting spots in the bed sheet, but never been changed upon my request; although the receptionist saw it and took a photo of it using his mobile camera. We (and other reviewers as well) could hear the noise by neighbors, and more annoyingly, the noise by the opposite restaurant bar (seems never closes; very audible laugh and talks throughout nights). My daughter and I decided to break our stay and leave the hotel and scarify the amount paid (i.e., on my expense). While I have not expected (and did not care of) any compensation, Mr. Ahmed thankfully refunded me for the remaining two nights. In general, leaving polite evaluation by a reviewer does not necessarily reflect a solid judgement. It rather could be due to personal viewpoint that is based on specific pro such as the receptionists being speaking same language as his. A fair review, however, needs to take into consideration the amount of money paid in comparison to other 4 star hotels, and whether or not the facility and services proportionate to a 4 star hotel, so that other travelers can be rightly guided. When seeing reviews where there are 10-stars, but also a lot of 1-stars, look carefully into the commons in the 1-star
