Royal Bosphorus Hotel & Spa Hamam

This is my review: Staff 5 Location 5 Breakfast 4 Rooms 3/4 The hotel is clean and comfortable (for the price). I feel that people have given bad reviews but for the price of the hotel, we were happy. Our room size was good and was replenished daily. it had a kettle, a fridge, a safe and it was also cleaned daily. If you want 5* luxury, pay 5* prices. Staff were always lovely and accommodating. The breakfast was fresh daily. No complaints and have told people at the airport about it. 👍

Absolutely horrible!!! The staff are very rude and treat their staff very badly. The haman is a completely scam! They charged 65€ for a VIP (instead of 95) but it doesn’t worth not even 20€! They don’t do the peeling, the massage foam! It’s just a normal shower but very expensive!! Horrible! You will leave stressed with the bad experience! Save your money and your mood!

It is the worst experience in my life. we ordered transfer from the airport, we were with kids, after flight we waited 45 minutes, our car never came, so we left and went by metro, when we arrived to the hotel, they told us to pay for transfer. otherwise they do not allow us to the hotel. the location of the hotel is ok, but staff is terrible. Hotel is very small, breakfast is on the ground floor, in front of the reception, so you eat with some people checking inn or out. Breakfast itself id terrible, we were not able to eat anything. Rooms and tiny and dirty. so I recommend never ever visit this place, if you do not want your vacation to be ruined.

The room was a disaster. Springs were coming out of the mattress that can seriously hurt. The room was not clean and was very noisy. Also, it doesn't look at all like the pictures. We were offered other options, but all the rooms had the same issues. They said they would refund us, so we booked another hotel. When we came to check out, they said it was "our problem" and refused to refund. We couldn't even contact the manager and the staff barely speaks English. Total disaster and scam!

Upon our arrival, Fatih (the daytime receptionist) was very approachable and our first day of Istanbul. Unfortunately, from day two and onwards, we had to keep on asking him for toiletries, clean towels and room cleaning daily. When asked, he would make promises but in the end we had to go downstairs and collect the toiletries and fresh towels ourselves (and again the room wasn't cleaned). On day three, water was cut off for 12 hours and we couldn't use the toilets because we couldn't flush it nor could we shower due to this situation. This wasted alot of time as we had planned our day. When questioned, the hotels excuse was that Istanbul Municipal Department had turned the water off in the area. However, when I enquired with other hotels they had water supplies and tanks as a back up which this hotel should consider doing. It was only on day four when I complained to Agoda, things changed for the better. Since then, the room was cleaned daily, fresh towels were provided and toiletries were given. However, since the complain, Faith stopped talking to us (not acknowledging us) which was not very professional whereas the night shift staff (named Abdul) showed professionalism by continuing to greet us and making an effort to talk to us. Breakfast was very basic and was in the reception area which was quite uncomfortable. On the positive, the location was excellent which was close to many attractions.

Do not come here of you have children or family! This hotel is not child friendly at all. Staff are very unprofessional and rude! When we got here, children were told off for simply taling or getting water from the water dispenser!! Staff keep coming to my room to complain children are making noise even though they were just talking!! Left children very upset with the staffs disgusting attitude Horrible rooms! Tiny and dirty! Dirty towels and linens. Can hear elevator all night. Dirty linens and towels. Highly recommend apple tree hotel. Staff were amazing towards children and looked after us very well.
