Мы хорошо провели время в Стамбуле, и этому безусловно способствовало расположение отеля “Sari Konak”, который находится в двух шагах от всех основных достопримечательностей рациона Sultanahmet, прямо за Голубой мечетью. Локация идеальная. Что до самого отеля, то, с одной стороны, за эти деньги в центре Стамбула вряд ли стоит ожидать лучшего, а с другой - при цене в €100/ сутки за крохотный номер хоть немного вложиться в обновление таких базовых вещей, как постельное белье, подушки, покрывала и полотенца, всё-таки можно. Горничная в отеле (в единственном лице) старалась, как могла, и убирала хорошо, но, ребята, рваное постельное белье, сбившиеся в ком подушки и усеянные несмываюшимися пятнами матрасы с покрывалами - это неприемлемо даже для 2* отеля. Интерьер отеля интересный, аутентичный, но настоятельно требующий обновления. Завтрак скудный, подойдет только для совсем невзыскательных путешественников. Плюсы: 1. Отличное расположение, небольшой базарчик и куча кафе и ресторанчиков вокруг, все главные достопримечательности, включая Босфор - в радиусе километра; 2. Прекрасный вид с террасы на крыше на Босфор, Галату, Голубую мечеть и Собор Святой Софии; 3. Неплохой бесплатный WiFi , работающие кондиционер и вентилятор, стабильный напор горячей воды в номерах; 4. Приветливый персонал. Минусы: 1. Потрепанные, требующие обновления номера и текстиль (постельное белье, покрывала на кроватях, подушки, полотенца); 2. Скудный завтрак; 3. Две действующие стройки в радиусе 20 метров от отеля. We had a great time in Istanbul, managed to see all the main wonders of this awesome city within 6 days - and the location of the “Sari Konak” hotel gave us the great advantage to access all the main attractions of the Sultanahmet area within a short walk. So, the location of the hotel (right behind the Blue Mosque) is perfect. As for the hotel itself: on the one hand, for this price you can hardly expect anything better in the center of Istanbul, however, on the other hand, at a price of €100/day for a tiny room, the owners should invest at least a little in updating such basic things as bed linen, pillows, bedspreads and towels. The hotel maid (there was just 1 housekeeper at the hotel throughout our stay) tried her best and cleaned the rooms well, but guys, torn bed linen, lumped pillows and mattresses and bedspreads littered with unremovable stain spots are unacceptable even for a 2* hotel, while “Sari Konak” claims for 4*. The hotel's interior is interesting, authentic, but it urgently needs updating. Breakfast is poor and suitable only for very undemanding travelers. Pros: 1. Excellent location, a small market and a bunch of cafes and restaurants around, all the main attractions, including the Bosphorus, are in a short walk distance; 2. Beautiful view from the roof terrace towards the Bosphorus, Galata, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia; 3. Good free Wi-Fi, working air conditioner and fan, stable hot water pressure in the room; 4. Friendly staff. Minuses: 1. Shabby rooms screaming for renovation, and textile that must be replaced (bed linen, bedspreads, pillows, towels); 2. Poor breakfast; 3. Two ongoing construction sites within a radius of 20 meters from the hotel.
