A basic hotel, but with all you would expect for the price, which is lower than most hotels I looked at in the old city. The staff are lovely, welcoming and very helpful. No food is provided, but there is a small kitchen available for anyone wishing to self cater, and a small courtyard garden. (Too cold to sit in when I was there, but would be nice in summer) In this kitchen there is 24 hour self service free coffee, tea and juice. A very comprehensive buffet breakfast is available in a rooftop terrance of a nearby hotel for a reasonable extra cost. (definitely recommended) With regard to location, hotel is immediately adjacent to a railway line, so there is some train noise (infrequent), but it is within easy walking distance of the Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Basilica Cistern and the T1 tram, which is a great plus.
