Depiero Hotel Karakoy

The room was modern, spacious and clean. Free breakfast in the lobby was good, too. Staff were friendly and helpful. My only issue was that taxi cabs couldn’t get to the door of the hotel I think because of the street’s narrowness. Walking distance to the Galata Tower.

It cannot rated as a 4 star hotel. Smal hotel with limited facilities. Primitive breakfast and smal rooms with no views. No iron in the hotel. But it was rather clean and calm, with good access to the public transport. The guy at the reception who named Tugay was very friendly and helpful.

Service 0 first of all rooms are so small even for economy like there is no space for our 4 luggage with no windows in room and air condition is controlled by reception also we can what people say even if they are in floor 3 and elevator sometimes work and sometime complementary water was given only first day overall its very bad hotel and we got cheated on from the pictures

Not satisfied with the hotel, I asked about the shops near by if they are open they told me they are but they never opened and its creepy in the pathways. The A/C is switching it self off every night. The elevator is getting damaged every time we try to use it. Its so small that we can hear everything in the hotel. I wanted to check out but the amount was none refundable.

Esperienza terribile. Il secondo giorno rientriamo in hotel in tarda serata e troviamo una ragazza nella Hall che cerca di farsi capire dal receptionist (che, ahinoi, sapeva solo dire "Good Morning" e "Good Evening" in inglese) per chiedere un'altra sistemazione dopo aver trovato un topo nella camera che le era stata assegnata. Il mattino seguente chiediamo se ci siano problemi di cui dovremmo essere informati e se le camere siano state controllate dopo l'accaduto. Veniamo rassicurati circa la sicurezza dell'intero hotel. Il soggiorno prosegue male, con continui allarmi in corridoio ad ogni ora del giorno e della notte, camere per nulla insonorizzate che permettono di sentire quello che dicono nelle camere situate all'altro capo del corridoio. L'ultimo giorno la mia ragazza entra in bagno e, nel chiudere la porta, viene colpita in testa dal profilo superiore della porta; una trave in legno massello di circa 6 kg. Subito mi accerto che non si sia fatta male seriamente, oltre alla botta, un graffio e il rossore, fortunatamente non ci sono stati danni più seri. Dopodiché mi reco alla reception con il pezzo di legno per segnalare la cosa e, in tutta naturalezza, mi viene risposto che si scusano e che sono cose che possono succedere. Io allibito dalla risposta imbarazzante che mi viene data, chiedo ulteriori spiegazioni e mi viene risposto che purtroppo non capiscono molto bene l'inglese e non comprendono quello che io stessi dicendo. Essendo l'ultimo giorno, abbiamo fatto il check-out precisando che la cosa non sarebbe finita lì e che avremmo segnalato la cosa anche a Booking. Loro non hanno battuto ciglio, si sono limitati a salutarci continuando a fingere di non capire. Esperienza pessima, evitate questa struttura come la peste. Vergognosi.

L’hotel è situato in una zona davvero degradata e pericolosa di Istanbul. Al di là di questo, la struttura risulta squallida con camere piccolissime. Siamo stati costretti a fuggire via dopo la prima notte in quanto abbiamo trovato un topo nel bagno della nostra camera: nonostante la promessa di rimborso l’hotel, piuttosto che profondersi in scuse, si è riservato di trattenere la quota per la notte forzatamente (dato che era notte fonda quando si è verificato l’avvistamento della bestia) passata nella struttura. Posto che deve chiudere immediatamente.
