North Gate Hotel

We stayed for two nights and the stay was wonderful. The staff kept ready our rooms when we arrived and allocated our room in few minutes. We had breakfast from the hotel and it was superb and filling. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Had a wonderful experience.

We arrived already early in the morning as we arrived with a night bus. Early check in price was reasonable and was no problem for them. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Great location by the train station. The breakfast buffet was amazing and all the options tasty! Staff is kind and attentive. Only downside is that pool is quite small and only has a couple of sunbeds.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Jaffna North Gate hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was great as I really loved the authentic Sri Lankan Jaffna style curry’s. One cool tip I learned was that if you book your stay with the hotel itself rather than a booking website, you will get a better variety of deals that the sites don’t offer you. Overall had a great stay! One more thing , next to main railways station.

North Gate is an exceptional hotel that truly stands out. The rooms are impeccably clean, and the staff are incredibly helpful and attentive. Having stayed at various 5-star hotels in Sri Lanka, including Mount Lavinia and Cinnamon Grand, I can confidently say North Gate offers a unique experience that makes me want to return, especially for its prime location and outstanding service. A special thanks to Praveen and Prasanna for going above and beyond to accommodate my requests. The restaurant was another highlight, offering authentic Jaffna specialties that were a treat to the palate. I particularly enjoyed the milk hoppers, Jaffna Dosai, and Vadai. The housekeeping team also did a fantastic job keeping the rooms spotless. I would wholeheartedly recommend North Gate to anyone looking for a remarkable stay in Jaffna.

Loved the stay at Northgate Hotel. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The blankets could have been thicker . It was very thin and did not serve the purpose. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel . House keeping staff was very attendive and kept the rooms very clean.

A lovely stay enhanced by very kind and helpful staff, who seemed really concerned to ensure that everything went well for us. Sam the restaurant manager was particularly attentive, as were all of his team. It was lovely to come home from a hot day of sightseeing to a pool - which was meticulously clean.
