I recently stayed at Hotel Clarks Amer in Jaipur for a conference and my experience was, unfortunately, quite disappointing, leading to a 2.5 out of 5-star rating. The cost of the stay was notably high, on par with what you'd expect from a high-end luxury hotel, which naturally set a certain expectation for ambiance, luxury, and service. Regrettably, none of these expectations were met. The hotel's infrastructure feels dated and is in significant need of modernization and maintenance. Simple elements like the bathroom doors and fittings showed clear signs of wear and tear. However, the biggest operational issue was undoubtedly the elevators. Waiting for them was a constant test of patience; I'd strongly advise anyone staying here to opt for the stairs if possible, as the elevators were agonizingly slow. Furthermore, the breakfast spread was quite mediocre, lacking the quality and variety that should accompany such a price point. For the amount charged, the overall experience at Hotel Clarks Amer simply did not deliver the value or comfort expected.
