Park Ocean

Cold shower on arrival at around 5.30pm. Next day rooms not made up because apparently we did not leave the room card with reception, ( new to us) there was no button or card to leave to have it made up. Upon arriving 7.30pm next night no new towels, water or bed made. Air conditioning running at 21 degrees and no way to change it. Tried ringing house keeping, front desk, and other numbers but nobody answers phone so go down in lift to get somebody to come to room and increase temperature. Indian fellow comes to room and cannot understand English but informs us problem was fixed but it wasn’t so we just turned it off. Have managed to get bad head cold since staying here. Could not connect to hotel wi fi at all. Bed was comfortable and water was hot tonight but would not rate this place very high.

Do not stay at this hotel! The owner of this hotel has tarnished my amazing experience in India with his aggressive and childish behaviour. He had our passports for over 3 hours and when we politely asked for them back, he refused to give them to us. We even said we would return them when we returned to the hotel if he still needed to process them (we were on our way out for some sightseeing). He became angry, waving his arms around and screaming. He threw our passports on the floor and told us to check out. Because we were part of a larger tour group, we were still able to stay but he made our stay very difficult. We did not have our rooms serviced at all and we had to request toilet paper (which was not provided). All the other hotels were more than accommodating, serving us breakfast 30minutes earlier as we had long drives of over 6 hours. However, this hotel refused to open breakfast earlier and kept messing the tour group around with other events that had been organised through the hotel (they kept changing times for a cooking demonstration they were providing, making it difficult for us to arrange the rest of the day). The hotel facilities were also terrible (don't be fooled by the grand entrance that is beautifully kept, or the amazing photos on the website). The pool is full of sludge and bird droppings, and is completely unsafe to touch let alone swim in. The food in the restaurant wasn't anything spectacular, and the chicken actually tasted off. We didn't finish eating it. The staff in the restaurant were polite and friendly.

Great location really pleasant and clean Rooms but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay and the staff all of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice we traveling with tow six yaer Olds and lots of luggage and despite this was one of the nicest places

Behavior of the reception staff was not good. The room was smelling and the shower was also not working properly. And there was no guard available at the gate after 12 o'clock. Quality of hotel is not good. Staying in this hotel is a waste of money.

Stayed as part of any organised private tour. The location is poor - on a busy road a long way out of town. Rooftop is dirty and looks derelict. No pool available. No sign of a rooftop restaurant. Room not cleaned on return at 330 despite specifically requesting cleaning at 8am. Had to ring reception to get hot water working. Decor in rooms and public areas dull and dated. Breakfast barely ok.

Nice property, clean rooms, polite staff, parking space, souvenir shop. Enjoyed my stay
