Samode Haveli

The Samode was probably our favourite hotel on the whole of our 3 week trip to India! It is a truly gorgeous place with beautiful bedrooms, courtyards, gardens, bars and lounges where you can spend quiet time. We also loved the sundowner rooftop bar and enjoyed a very atmospheric combination of flying black and white kites, birds, illuminated buildings and the callings to prayer from the mosque and Diwali fireworks. The pool, jacuzzi and changing facilities were excellent and the gym and spa looked good (even though we didn’t manage to use them) The shops were great too The restaurant in the courtyard was magical with nicely spaced tables, beautiful lights and a fantastic old banyan tree. Each night we enjoyed evening musical entertainment. The maitre d gave excellent advice on menu & drink choices and saved us from over ordering at least twice! All the food was delicious - both dinner and a fabulous spread for breakfast Shivani was a lovely meet and greet person when we arrived and she gave us a quick and informative spin around the hotel once we had freshened up We took the hotel morning walk with one of the staff Sujit and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the city wake up, the temple and the milk, flower, fruit and veg markets plus a stop for some Chai and street food - Sujit was a great guide and shared his knowledge and love of the city. He also introduced us to time lapse which was enlightening in the flower and veg markets The hotel location was great to see all the sights of the Pink city

Lovely heritage hotel just near the Old City. An oasis of calm. The pool is lovely and lots of sunbeds and the service is exceptional. There are a few different bars for a drink including the peaceful courtyard and the roof top with amazing views of the city and the many kites that are flying at sunset.

We liked this hotel very much. It was an oasis of calm with very beautiful garden and pool. The calm and quiet was much needed after the noise and bustle of the city. The staff were very attentive and the food was out of this world. There was live music during dinner on 2 nights. We were here over Christmas and the whole place was decorated with lights which was really lovely. Definitely a place to recommend

A beautiful hotel located in the Old City of Jaipur. The hotel is a a restored old large house made up of several sections. Our suite was spacious and well designed, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good (not amazing), and their room service was also good. Staff were attentive and friendly, and the concierge helped with restaurant reservations. HOWEVER, noise is a real problem there. One reason is the stone floors which results in noise resonating to adjoining rooms and those from above. Doors closing, furniture being moved, luggage being dragged and loud talking can all be heard. The other reason is the call to prayers from nearby Mosques. There is no way to avoid this, but at around 05:00 it is not appreciated. Think carefully if you are affected by noise pollution.

Beautiful character filled old hotel, Set in the Pink City, quirky with lots of character. Great breakfast , Lovely indoor/outdoor restaurant with an extensive menu. We ate their last night, was very nice We had a strange experience booking in.. the gentleman brought us to our room, which is very nice.. he told us we had been upgraded…. I asked him what to, and he told me we had booked deluxe, and had been given a deluxe suite. This wasn’t true at all, we had booked a deluxe, and we were given a deluxe. We are in room 122. It’s a lovely room, but the suites have separate living areas.. there was no need to lie to us, this was a little bit weird, and .it has given us a feeling of distrust towards them… The TV´s in the rooms are very small, and the internet is poor. Nice place but based on the experience, we probably wouldn’t come back.

A beautiful oasis in the busy city of Jaipur. The grounds were lovely trees, flowers, pool, beautiful buildings. The rooms were large and magnificent. The staff were helpful and courteous.The food was delicious. The rooftop sundowner a treat and they had a variety of activities you could schedule if you wanted.
