As a female solo traveler, I was warmly welcomed at the train station at 12 pm and looked after by Vimal, the manager, and his kind-hearted assistant, Jeeto. From the moment I arrived, they treated me like family, their care and hospitality unmatched. I also met wonderful fellow travelers, sharing stories and experiences that made my stay even more special. If you’re looking for a place that feels like home, where personal connections matter, this is it. One of my favorite moments was sitting on the rooftop terrace, taking in the breathtaking views while listening to the Muslim call to prayer blend with the chanting of Jain monks—a truly unforgettable experience.

Beautiful heritage hotel in the fort with a great roof terrace to relax and watch our favourite view with wonderful hosts who did everything to make our stay special. Jeethu and the team can also cook up a storm… one of the best meals in India. And Vimal the manager was always ready to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We’ll be back.

We had come to this awesome place in 2021 and this was a repeat visit with our relatives. One gets the feeling of turning the clock back to be transported into the grandeur of times gone by. To live within a fort is a rarest of rare experience and one should not miss a chance to enjoy this incredible place atleast for a couple of days. The warm hospitality extended by Mr Vimal compounded our delight !!! Add this to your bucket list folks !!!

Very nice welcome ! A lot of attention and preoccupation about Us. Wonderful room (105) ! Th same than 11 years ago , can you believe that ! Good advises to manage our stay in Jaisalmer . No push to buy their excursions . Terrace could be improved To be recommended :)

Amazing situation in the battlements of the fort at Jaisalmer. Host came fetched us from the 1st gate as no cars inside. Views are incredible over the surrounding countryside as we ate dinner and breakfasts their The host was very helpful and informative and when his staff forgot to include the laundry in the bill which he kindly waived it for us.

This historical haveli was great in every possible way, the panoramic view, the service, the beauty of the building. A gem where I hope to return in the near future. The location in Jaisalmer Fort is central and convenient. The room was big and confortable

I was excited by the thought of staying in a 450 year old building inside Jaisalmer fort and was thrilled with Desert Haveli. The golden structure, patina of age and mesmorising rooftop views were just part of my experience. My host, Mr Vimal treated me as a friend. He made my experiences more memorable through his thoughtful care, guidance and direct assistance. Come to Desert Haveli with an open mind, relax, be open to possibilities, and a magical time awaits. I was greeted as a friend and departed as part of the family. I will return.

I had a fantastic stay at Desert Haveli Guest House! The place is full of character, and you really get a feel for the history of Jaisalmer. The rooms are comfortable and have a nice traditional touch. Vimal, the owner, was awesome. He was super friendly and arranged for us unforgettable desert safari. Would definitely recommend staying here!

the hotel is inside the Jaisalmer fort, the location is very suggestive and from the top of the terrace you can dominate the whole city. the staff speaks excellent English and is available to help and solve problems. Very recommended experience!
