Hotel Yit Casa Grande

How did this hotel get rated four star. I expect an amount of luxury when booking and paying for a hotel rated at this level. By no means was this four stars ,, two or at a push Three star. The hotel staff were great when I raised my concerns over the condition of our first room. BEWARE... WHEN BOOKING AN INSIDE ROOM,, YOU GET ACUPBOARD WITH NO WINDOWS LEEKING SHOWER AND OVERWHELMING AIR CONDITIONION THAT MADE MYSELF AND MY WIFE FEEL UNWELL. After raising my concerns We were given a premier rated room.. it had a window but was still a little shabby and out dated for us. There is a constant smell in reception that lingers around the hotel .. there is no breakfast room, you will end up eating breakfast in the are set aside in reception. A visit to one of the local bodegas is a must when visiting Jerez. There is no night porter, no recognisable bar, no coffee or tea facilities in the room, and the shower leaked into the room when used. This is a great place for location, and as I said the staff where amazing when I brought my issues to there attention. I was disappointed with my stay at this hotel. Will I be back, I don't think so as value for money would push me towards one of the bigger branded hotels. If this hotel reduced its prices and accepted the facilities are more associated with a budget b and b, maybe they would get a higher score from fellow visitors.

Hotel and staff were lovely near the main square where there was lots of great restaurant's some had Mitchelin stars but all were reasonably priced. The castle and cathedral was a short walk away. Room was clean, tidy and big enough for the 2 of us.

Lovely small hotel on a picturesque square close to many restaurants and stores. Easy to walk from the train station! While we were there, they were working on the rooftop terrace, which is a beautiful place to see the sunset. The hotel has many lovely little rooms on the first floor to sit in and relax. Would highly recommend this gem!

Great accommodation in a boutique style hotel sympathetically converted in keeping with the original features of what must have been a classic Andalusian house. Central location, good breakfast and friendly, helpful staff made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Highlight was drinking wine of the roof top terrace at night. A bit of a gem!

My daughter and I visited Jerez for the school of equestrian arts, and stayed two nights. We had a magical time. Fatima and her colleagues were most attentive, doing all to make our stay welcome and special, especially for my daughter. Breakfast was amazing, and they even put the coffee machine on especially for me out of hours, as it was raining and the nearest place was a little walk away. Hotel was extremely clean and we had more than we needed. Thank you for making it a wonderful adventure!

A good location relatively central to the main sites (not that there are many). Rooms don’t have rubbish bins or fridges which I found unusual considering the rating of the hotel. Roof terrace is a nice extra, if you enjoy a gob full of flies of course. Reception staff rather abrupt and quite rude too. Wouldn’t bother going to Jerez again.

Lovely hotel in an superb location. Staff and facilities were excellent. Stayed in a junior suite which was well appointed with a comfy super king bed and separate lounge. Bathroom was clean and tidy with a more than ample walk in, powerful shower. Superb!

Stayed one night during a visit to Jerez. The hotel is a short walk from the train station, it is in a really nice square and is very convenient to reach the bars and restaurants within five minutes. The room was super clean, staff very friendly and it was excellent value for money. Would rebook for next visit.

Possibly a bit harsh to give 3 stars but I feel it doesn’t get to 4. A nice welcome on arrival as we continued our visits to the Southern Spanish cities. Really nice communal area, the rooms are around the central courtyard. A good location too on a quiet square a 10 minute walk from the train station and the same time to the main sites. Decent breakfast. My problem is with the rooms which are underwhelming. Although a decent size, they need someone to make them more inviting- add some colour or pictures. Totally bland. Our room did have two high level windows so we could see the sky - the main windows face the courtyard and had heavy mesh for privacy. Some people we met had a ground floor room which had no outdoor windows so make sure you avoid those. Bathroom and shower worked well although the bed was a standard double 1.35m and a bit bouncy. So sorry for the 3 stars but improve the bedrooms and you are up the 4!
