While the hotel undeniably boasts breathtaking surroundings and a luxurious ambiance, I must admit that my experience did not quite meet the expectations I have for a 5-star establishment.
First and foremost, let me touch on the positive aspects of my stay. The hotel's architecture and interior design are nothing short of stunning. The alpine-chic decor exudes an inviting warmth, and the public areas are elegantly appointed, creating an atmosphere of opulence and comfort. The panoramic views of the surrounding mountains are simply mesmerizing, making this an ideal destination for those seeking a serene mountain retreat.
The staff at Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol were attentive and welcoming, displaying a genuine desire to make my stay enjoyable. The spa and wellness facilities are top-notch, offering a range of treatments and relaxation options, further enhancing the overall experience.
However, when it comes to the accommodations and dining experience, there were a few aspects that left me somewhat underwhelmed. The room, while comfortable and well-appointed, lacked some of the extra touches and attention to detail that I would expect from a 5-star hotel. Additionally, the avocado toast I ordered for breakfast, which you can see in the attached photo, it’s not for a 5 hotel price…
In summary, the Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol in Jochberg, Kitzbuehel Alps is undoubtedly a beautiful property with an incredible location. It offers a serene and tranquil atmosphere, perfect for those looking to escape to the Alps. However, to meet the expectations of a true 5-star experience, I believe there's room for improvement in terms of room amenities and the dining options. Despite these minor shortcomings, I still enjoyed my stay and appreciated the stunning natural surroundings and the courteous service of the staff.

Nicht unser erster und wird auch nicht unser letzter Aufenthalt im Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol sein, jedoch sind wir ein anderes Service gewohnt. Diesmal war das Zimmer nicht so sauber, wie man es vom Kempinski Hotel Das Tirol gewohnt ist. Am Boden lag Schmutz und Haare. Das Zimmer war veraltet.

Hello I didnt even manage to come to this property to know they are awful. I wrote them an email about resetvations on Wednesday on info and they didnt repky. Then I called them on Thursday the guy told me they have problem (in 2025??) with emails on info amd that I should forward it to reservations.tirol. He said I will get an offer in 10 minutes. I didnt get anything. Then on Friday I am calling them again the same guy answers and said that he is sorry they have a lot of work (???) and that he can see the email we will get an offer in 10 minutes. Still no offer!!! And with Titanium GHA membership, but I guess it doesnt matter. Today on Saturday I call reservations again - waited 25 minutes for them to pick up!! I was transferred to USELESS international Kempinski call center. They dont know anything, can not transfer the call to Das Tirol Hotel, cant see my email and are utterly useless. They said I should call the guest relationship in Das Tirol- called them 3 times they always pick up and immediately put down phone. And now I am writing this one star rewiev instead of spending time at your property SHAME!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful hotel, amazing service, lovely rooms, good food. The pool and spa is superb. Nothing is to much. Beds as usual in Kempinski are the best. Breakfast is excellent. 10 minute walk from Jochberg and 15 min by taxi from kitzbühel. The view from the room was stunning. Brilliant hotel.

We stayed at Kempinski Tirol on our 10th Wedding Anniversary and we didn’t expect anything special but we just wanted to celebrate. We booked a spa and our therapist ( I didn’t remember her name but she came from Croatia), she was really really good!! And thanks to HK team for a great surprise turndown service as a heart shape blanket setup with the red hearts all over! Thanks to Daniel, Man in Red who helped us on everything! We love breakfast there and we also had dinner at Sra Bua Restaurant and as Asian, I highly recommend because the taste of each dishes are quite close to authentic Asian and the waiter name Emiliano, if we remember his name right, he gave us quite impressive service and he has full knowledge of all the dishes he served. The chef came out to talk to us and we shared all the experiences in Asia. The room is nice, spacious and great view. The spa/ pool areas are quite huge! Outdoor pool is nice! We also did a day trip from hotel to Innsbruck and Hallstatt. Thank everyone for memorable stay!

I book this hotel every year since 2019 only I missed year 2020 and 2021 because of corona however this year was unacceptable service which made me to change my mind to come to this hotel again. In the past the hotel was nice the AC cold and they try to solve any issues I face even there was variety of foods.

We spent a weekend at Kempinski Das Tirol and it is amazing in every aspect. Great welcome by Sanela Mihaic and the room with mountain view is just amazing. The entire hotel, spa, pool, bar restaurant are wonderful and it‘s the perfect place to spend a relaxing weekend. Most important for us, very dog friendly, we got a dog bed and treats all around the place.

Great Hotel. one of the best. great service. great location. the room was big, beautiful and very clean and comfort. great SPA. beautiful outdoor pool. the hotel members gave us great services all day long. the price is high but worse it. we will be back for sure.

I am utterly appalled by the lack of empathy and flexibility shown by Hotel Kempinski Das Tirol during a family emergency. When an urgent health issue with my son forced us to cut our stay short, the hotel's response was cold and mercenary, insisting on a cancellation fee despite the circumstances being clearly beyond our control. It's shocking to see a business prioritize rigid policy enforcement over basic human compassion. This experience has not only caused unnecessary financial strain during a difficult time but has also left me questioning the hotel's values and customer service ethos. I cannot in good conscience recommend Hotel Kempinski Das Tirol to anyone, given their disregard for guests' well-being and circumstances. It's a shame that what could have been a simple gesture of understanding has instead turned into a situation where I feel compelled to warn others of their callous approach. Businesses should remember that their policies affect real people, especially in times of crisis.
