Holiday Inn Johnstown-Downtown

Nice hotel but it's a long walk from the parking area to the lobby. Then a long walk to the far end of the lobby where the elevators are. This is why I prefer motels but you don't find them in cities, even small ones like Johnstown. Also, more upscale hotels such as this don't even offer continental breakfast.

Rooms not ready at 10 pm on a Sunday. Completely unacceptable . My family had three rooms and at 10 pm on a Sunday they still were not ready. Others in the lobby were waiting too. Hotel “front desk manager” (who would not put me through to his manager) said “we are short staffed.” When asked how long, he said “could be 30 minutes or could be an hour”. Ended up leaving and booking in Richland. We’re not talking 4 or 5 pm…. 10 pm at night and no rooms ready. Avoid at all costs. Sleep in your car before staying here .

Well located with a very good restaurant, helpful and friendly staff and a better than average room. We decided to stop in Johnstown without a reservation when Pennsylvania mayors were meeting so we ended up with a double bed but that was on us.

Nice property, nice service and a good value for the price! The rooms are good size, the fridg is large for a hotel and the staff are great! The location is good for the Flood Museum and access to the highways and a short drive to good restaurant!

Place has not aged well. Rugs are stained. Furniture in the hospitality room 436 was in Bad shape. Chair looked like someone had defecated in it. The other one looked like some one had also did a number in it. The Black lounge chairs were peeling off and stuck to the clothes of who ever sat in it. Floor stained, Wallpaper peeling off around windows. AC units worked poorly. Our room was ok except for the black mold or whatever it was in our shower room. Exhaust fan was out of order. The switch for bathroom light, had a broken electrical plate next to it where someone will try to turn on the light and get shocked so it's a lawsuit waiting to happen. We had a big national family reunion here with over 50 people , We will choose some place else next time.

Room was fine, clean bathroom, fridge, couch, carpet and bed linens. Missing from bath: no shower caps anymore. Must go to desk to ask. Pool open so early at 5 am! But it’s in great need of maintenance with broken tile and very worn lining. Water was comfortable and looked clean. But no pool towels. Again, these must be asked for from desk ( but didn’t know that before I took mine from room). Fitness room good but one machine broken. Jacuzzi adjacent. $5 add on parking to the lot (why??). This is a very convenient location for my trips to hometown, so I’m likely to continue using. Hope to be able to give more than 3 next time

this place is like heaven from the front desk to the house keeping and the chef and everybody that works in the resturant are so awesome and pleasant.rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable.i consider this hotel to be a 10 star hotel the best of the best .not only i consider this place to be awesome but i consider everybody here like family thank u all for a awesome stay yours truely regina and neil

We booked this hotel through ******* on a Friday for a Monday through Wednesday stay. Unfortunately we came down with COVID. We called ******* and they said as long as the hotel would return the money, they had no issue. The hotel refused. I then called the hotel directly and the gentleman assured me he would talk to the manager and call me back. I never received a return call. My husband called the hotel again and got the run around. They tried to blame it on *******, which is a total lie. I had booked a hotel through ******* previously with no trip cancellation insurance and when we had to cancel, ******* called that particular hotel and they gladly refunded the money. We have several family members that stayed at Holiday Inn Johnstown - Downtown many times during the year, but that will not happen any more. We will be taking our business elsewhere. Very POOR customer service, no return calls, and blatant lies. Don't lie to people that have used ******* many times and KNOW it is up to the discretion of the hotel, not *******.

I stayed at this property while in town to watch my son play hockey at the Cambria arena and while it’s a very convenient location, I was charged $300 as a pet cleaning fee for my support dog. I was taken back by this because we stayed at the same property on 2 other occasions with our dog with no incident and we left the room with no damage/dirt etc. When I questioned the charge I was told they do not recognize support dogs as service dogs. I was not told this at check in or I would have stayed elsewhere. 3 calls to the General Manager were never returned. I finally talked to her and was told the charges were listed on the back of the parking permit (along with a $500 cleaning fee if you smoke!). So unprofessional to just put this charge through without discussing it and disappointing that this hotel doesn’t recognize support animals and so many other hotels do.
