Super 8 by Wyndham Johnstown/Gloversville

The place was clean and there were no bed bugs. Those are the two major items that I look for. The soda/candy machine didn't work. The air conditioner that I ran for noise was either no noise or too loud. When there was no noise all you could hear were the cars and trucks driving by outside. It's right near a road and right there is a stoplight! So all I could hear all night long were trucks gearing down and then starting up and then all the really loud little cars. The guy upstairs at 5:15 a.m. started stomping around running from one end of the room to the other and dropping stuff on the floor. The floor creaked when he walked. Needless to say didn't get much sleep. Smallest television I have ever seen in a hotel in 50 years of traveling.

The place is very clean, and although there's no place to sit at breakfast, there was coffee and bagels. However, in the rooms, there's no closet, nor drawers on night stands. The only mirror is the one by the faucet. It didn't provide an iron. While we only went there to sleep, it would've been nice to have these other amenities. Overall, in the future if we find other options, we'll take them.

Good location and price, but stay elsewhere. TV blasted us out at night. Not going to start an argument over sound levels. Sounded like kids running around all night. Heater kept cycling no matter how low I set it. Other equipment cycled all night. Breakfast was the pits. Either stale or frozen bagels and muffins. Coffee was good.
