St. Giles Southkey

Very convenient location and room is considered quite clean and spacious. Breakfast also not bad with a lot of variety. Check in process can be improved, too slow and too few counters are open despite staff standing around

Located directly above Mid-Valley Southkey, the hotel’s location is unparalleled when it comes to accessibility to a plethora of shopping and dining options. Room was comfortable and spacious though toilet was on the squeezy side. Filtered water is also available on every floor, albeit not found within the room. Kudos to the guest relations team for the simple birthday celebration set-up. Didn’t enjoy the breakfast though. Don’t bother paying extra for it considering there are a lot more better paid options just below the hotel.

Good location, u may shop till drop since MidValley Shopping Mall is just at your doorstep. Front desk service was not at par as they are not friendly nor sincere. They are performing their duties like robotic. The Q for morning breakfast was too long. We need to q for more than 20mins to be seated. The speed to replenish the servings were too slow, supply was not sufficient to meet high demand.

Nice hotel, been booking this hotel for numerous time. Good for families, couples, friends short getaway with nice shopping, restaurants and cinema just below the hotel.

Overall it was a nice place to stay with many shops and restaurants within the vinicity. A simple decoration and a slice of cake for my wedding anniversary celebration. I am a bit disappointed with the breakfast at level 6 as not many vegetarian friendly choices to choose from for both of us.

Location was really good. Nestled within Mid Valley Southkey Megamall. All the shopping and food was within the same building. Check in was pretty fast and they acceded to our request to check out a little later like 1pm. Had high expectations of this hotel after recommendations from friends. However, I guess I shouldn’t have kept high expectations before I experienced it myself. Generally service are ok, though front desk lady who checked us in could have done better with a smile. She seemed to be rather reluctant to serve us but still kept the basics in placed. Room was clean and decent sized. Nothing much within the room, the usuals expected of a hotel at the rates that weee higher than other hotels in JB. Water can be self served from a dispensing machine just outside our room. The not so positive areas were the towels and the shampoo and body wash provided. The towels were fraying at the sides and some areas already torn. As for the body wash and shampoo, the bottles were dirty with algae and some slime, which was quite gross. Not quite what I would expect from a reputable hotel like St Giles. Next is the breakfast. Upon check in we were told to avoid certain hours due to high traffic. Eventually we heeded the advice and went during the so-called low traffic time. But to our dismay, the snaking queue to get into to the restaurant was at least a good 40-50m long. Seeing the super long queue, we gave up the idea of eating in tho breakfast was included in our package, and went over to the mall instead to have our breakfast. Frankly I would try out other hotels nearby instead and if I were to come back, it’s the convenient location.
