Hotel du Léman - Jongny

There is a wonderful park around the hotel with different seat groups where you can relax and enjoy the outstanding views over Lake Geneva (lac Leman). The rooms are small but well equipped. The beds are particularly good. All the staff are extremely welcoming, and they help whenever it is needed. The breakfast buffet is continental, and we liked it very much. There is a bus stop in walking distance which connects Jongny with Vevey. We had an exciting time at the du Leman. pore

Pros: The restaurant, grounds and views over Lac Leman were amazing. Breakfast was fantastic, as was the evening dinner. We had a lovely balcony. We were glad that our room's flooring was wood (or wood-like...) Cons: Our room was in the "Villa", a separate building about 150 yards up hill from the main hotel (door to door). The Villa building was shared with other businesses (Allianz), and the hallways were kind of creepy for a hotel. The hallways were business-like and not overly appealing for a fine hotel. The room decor was dated and it felt like you were in a dorm. The shower was record-setting small and I couldn't shave my legs. No refrigerator, bathrobes, slippers, in-room safe, shower cap, or other amenities to speak of. (There was instant coffee available in the room, however.) We had to ask for a bucket of ice from the bar (I had to walk 150 yards downhill and then 150 yards back up hill). Same walk for breakfast and dinner. The bathroom and room were clean. Free parking, but the hotel was tough to drive to. The balcony and main building rated a "5" but our room itself rated a "2". The main building felt like a great 4-star hotel, but the villa was more like a budget hotel...

I have spent 10 days in this hotel in April this year. Everything went fine and it was an excelent stay. We had booked 3 days and ended up extending our stay. We had requested a room with view on the lake and had a beautiful design room with balcony. So I decided to come back for two days in september, having also asked a room with view on the lake. What I didn't realise is that the hotel has also a separate Villa with a few rooms. This is absolutely not clear ie in ***********. So I was given a room in this Villa, in the back of the hotel. You can see the lake but, before, you see the car parking. The room is not as nice as the ones at the hotel. Certainly not worth it. This Villa is also not suitable for older people with health/heart issues (stairs, all the way up from the hotel through the parking). I was in a room with a litlle terrace separated from similar terraces in adjacent rooms and it was difficult to work and concentrate listening to an endless conversation next door. Basically - if you chose to stay in this hotel, make sure you ask for a room in the hotel and not at the Villa. *********** and other platforms should clearly indicate the difference.

Excellent Hôtel with an amazing view on Leman Lake. Rooms are clean and modern. You can have view on the Lake and the garden. Very quiet hotel , zen atmosphere with very good breakfast. Just air cooler in rooms will be a great improvement. I recommend this hotel.

Mais quelle belle surprise, nous étions trop souvent des hôtels dans notre pays par rapport à la France ou l’Italie Mais la à Jongni c’était superbe, la vue le calme et aussi et surtout l’accueil et la gentillesse du personnel, la cuisine etc etc Nous voulions passer que une nuit, mais avons ajouté une nuit. Petit bémol pour le prix du petit déjeuner Mais si l’on ne mange pas trop le matin il est possible de prendre juste un café et un ( ou deux ) croissants au bar avec une super vue Excellente expérience Et un chaleureux merci à la charmante dame de la réception .

The hotel has a very nice location with a great view and plenty of parking spaces. The price-performance ratio is not quite right for us. The room was not good enough for the price. We were in the neighbouring building, which is basically not a problem, but the room is old and also rather small. Depending on your orientation, you may or may not have a nice view. The quality of the mattress and pillows also left a lot to be desired. The service at breakfast made up for this. The lady was very attentive and friendly and we were definitely impressed by the breakfast. The lounge and the check-in/check-out service were also very friendly. We therefore left the hotel with mixed feelings. Top service. We didn't like the room. Das Hotel hat eine sehr schöne Lage mit einem tollen Ausblick und genügend Parkplätzen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt für uns nicht ganz. Das Zimmer war für den Preis zu wenig gut. Wir waren im Nebengebäude, was grundsätzlich kein Problem ist, das Zimmer ist jedoch alt und auch eher klein. Je nach Ausrichtung hat man etwas von der schönen Aussicht oder eben nicht. Auch die Qualität der Matratze und der Kissen liess zu wünschen übrig. Entschädigt hat uns dafür der Service beim Frühstück. Sehr aufgestellte und freundliche Dame und das Frühstück konnte uns definitiv überzeugen. Auch die Lounge und der Service beim Check-In/Check-Out war sehr freundlich. Darum haben wir das Hotel mit gemischten Gefühlen verlassen. Service top. Das Zimmer hat uns nicht gefallen.
