Hotel du Léman - Jongny

This was a family trip visiting relatives who live nearby. I was accompanying my very elderly mother and we were treated with great kindness by all the staff. She had a room to the rear of the hotel with accessible facilities and I had a room nearby at the front with lovely views of the lake. There is a lift for wheelchair users, though there is a slight slope to the room and some heavy doors to the ground floor toilets to be aware of. It was fine as I was able to help. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Modern in style. Not huge, but not tiny. The breakfasts were of high quality with plenty of choice. We also ate in the restaurant a couple of times and found the menu to be quite inventive. We had particularly good service in the bar and restaurant. We could see the hotel also hosted business conferences but we weren't disturbed by any large groups. I'd happily stay again.

I work as a travel show presenter. I stay in hotels all over the world. In my entire career I've never had such bad customer service. We had 3 beers in the bar and the bartender who has the subtlety of a brick in the face told us he would not serve us anymore. This was at 3 in the afternoon, while waiting for our rooms to be ready, it was raining outside and this was after we spent a large amount of money having lunch in the resteraunt (not having a drink) He was saying we were too loud. We were laughing. That was it. There was 6 of us so he told us he would not serve us. I'm 49 years old and I've never been spoken to so rudely by anyone ever. There was no one in the bar only one couple. We're here on business, If this is how they treat their guests I would avoid here at all costs. The place is overpriced for what you get and ironically manners cost nothing and they have none here. Id actually like to return home. The staff are pathetic, rude and un professional. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. (Nice view but so have lots of places in switzerland. If you wish to be spoken down to my egotistical rude staff you'll love it). BTW way our rooms are miles away up hill away from the reception. We had a huge amount of baggage and they made us lug our bags there and the gym is out of comission even though was advertised as available. Worst experience. I hope this is not a reflection on Switzerland because I just want to leave immediately. Thanks

Pros: The restaurant, grounds and views over Lac Leman were amazing. Breakfast was fantastic, as was the evening dinner. We had a lovely balcony. We were glad that our room's flooring was wood (or wood-like...) Cons: Our room was in the "Villa", a separate building about 150 yards up hill from the main hotel (door to door). The Villa building was shared with other businesses (Allianz), and the hallways were kind of creepy for a hotel. The hallways were business-like and not overly appealing for a fine hotel. The room decor was dated and it felt like you were in a dorm. The shower was record-setting small and I couldn't shave my legs. No refrigerator, bathrobes, slippers, in-room safe, shower cap, or other amenities to speak of. (There was instant coffee available in the room, however.) We had to ask for a bucket of ice from the bar (I had to walk 150 yards downhill and then 150 yards back up hill). Same walk for breakfast and dinner. The bathroom and room were clean. Free parking, but the hotel was tough to drive to. The balcony and main building rated a "5" but our room itself rated a "2". The main building felt like a great 4-star hotel, but the villa was more like a budget hotel...

Stayed in room 118 with a terrace. This room was larger than most others on the floor and had a lovely view over the lake. The staff was amazing - thank you to Hugo, Stephan (at breakfast and lunch) and Roxanne at the bar. The location of this hotel is charming and away from the maddening crowds along the lake front but you are within 15 minutes of all that if you want. This is a place of peace with beautiful gardens and exquisite views for dining and walking. Room could use a dresser/drawers for items and air conditioning. We had a fan but the room was very warm in July. I recommend staying during cooler months but hope they will upgrade to a/c. We hope to return. Breakfast has good options.

Excellent Hôtel with an amazing view on Leman Lake. Rooms are clean and modern. You can have view on the Lake and the garden. Very quiet hotel , zen atmosphere with very good breakfast. Just air cooler in rooms will be a great improvement. I recommend this hotel.

die Lage ist kaum zu überbieten, sehr schöne Zimmer im Hauptbau, nicht ganz billig aber bequem und durchdacht, schönes Frühstücksbuffet mit viel Auswahl und frischer Ware, netter, flinker Service, das Restaurant relativ teuer, mit kleiner Auswahl von teilweise ausgefallenen Speisen, sympathisch: fast alle Weine aus der Region, viele auch im Offenausschank - wir kommen sicher wieder
