As the Astroparticle Physics group of NCSR Demokritos, we hosted at Kalamata the Autumn face-to-face meeting of KM3NeT's Astronomy Working Group. Most of the participants of our multi-national scientific group stayed at IRA Hotel. The rooms are clean and the employees friendly and up and ready to help with anything you need. They tried their hardest to cover our needs. The hotel is a quiet place right on the center of the city.

We arrived to Kalamata for one night. The hotel is very good. It is located at the center of Kalamata - 100 meter from the main square with many restaurants and shops nearby. The room is very convenient with a nice balcony. The service is excellent! The breakfast was one of the best we have had in Greece. Parking is two minutes away.

The IRA-HPA City Hotel is a great choice for daytime shopping and Old Town nightlife. Our reception was cheerful and registration quick. The overall vibe is quiet, white-wall contemporary. High marks for quiet night, comfortable sleep and room amenities. Yes, the welcome bottle of wine really is complimentary and the breakfast is comprehensive. Most noteworthy for Greek summer, the AC was stunningly efficient. We didn't use the spa, but it looked inviting. The free parking lot looks iffy, but not to worry; it’s the closest and best for the area. Conversely, a couple of drawbacks: the entrance has a few stairs (lift to the rooms), lack of clothes drawers is more suited for a short stay than longer, and the open front shower made it impossible to maneuver without splashing the floor. But overall, this property offers an excellent price/value option.

Beautiful hotel with very friendly service! They really care about their guests. The location is great, shopping and restaurants are just a minute walk away. Be sure to get a massage while you’re there, it was so relaxing! They even have a sauna and a jacuzzi.

Excellent place, in the center of Kalamata, with packing just a minute away from the hotel. Great staff, very clean rooms and exceptional breakfast with a small but really nice yard to enjoy it. Absolutely recommended even if you want holidays or business...

My family and i stayed at Ira on our trip to Kalamata it was very pleasing. the room was a fair size and they also placed a baby crib for our infant son. it was quiet and nothing woke up the baby at night. We woke up refreshed every morning and went down to the lounge for the breakfast buffet then went for a stroll in the city square wich was right across the street. In general it was very pleasant stay , just right. i recommend

I had a wonderfully stay at Ira hotel everything was as it should be. Clean room with pleasant decor with the most comfortably bed. I haven't slept that well in a long time. The staff was polite and so helpful I am a frequent traveler and I always like to enjoy local food and traditional delicacies where I travel to. They showed me where to eat and find everything I liked. The best part of the hotel is it's placement it's right in the city's center and has a private parking wich is ever so practical. The city center parking spots where always full. I definitely recommend this hotel and if I get the chance to visit Kalamata again I will definitely stay at Ira.

Excellent and attentive customer service, spacious well equipment room, comfortable location, perfect location to walk to the old centre and wonderful buffet breakfast. The Greek word, filoxenia, translated to hospitality was what Greeks are known for and exactly what we experienced at the IRA City Hotel in Kalamata.

Μια από τις πιο όμορφες εμπειρίες αναφορικά με τη διαμονή μας την είχαμε στο ζεστό και φιλόξενο ΗΡΑ CITY HOTEL! Ένα όμορφο και άνετο ξενοδοχείο στη καρδιά της πόλης της Καλαμάτας κυριολεκτικά δίπλα σε όλα χωρίς να χρειάζεται να πάρεις αυτοκίνητο. Εξαιρετικά σημαντικό το γεγονός πως διαθέτει και πάρκινγκ πλησίον του ξενοδοχείου . Τα δωμάτια όμορφα, ευρύχωρα αποπνέουν φρεσκάδα και καθαριότητα. Το πρωινό δεν έχει τίποτα μα ζηλέψει από αυτά των μεγάλων ξενοδοχείων εφόσον παρέχει ποικιλία και σου δίνει και τη δυνατότητα να δοκιμάσεις νόστιμα τοπικά προϊόντα. Και τέλος το προσωπικό του ξενοδοχείου από την αρχή μέχρι το τέλος φροντίζει να σε κάνει να νιώθεις σαν στο σπίτι σου...
