Mango Sunset Bnb at Lyman Farms

Heidi and Dan were awesome. Great hospitality, food, and very friendly. They were informative on things to do on the island. If your looking to get away from the city this is your place, although the city is 10-15 minutes away

We loved our time in the Big Island and the best memory was our stay at the magnificent Mango Sunset BnB. The room was perfect, modern and super comfortable. Breakfast was the best breakfast we had in Hawaii. The whole farm is beautiful and fascinating (will be open for tours one day). Heidi and Dan are the best hostesses ever!! We were so sad to leave!!!

Ok, the gate is not great, but everything else about this place is outstanding. Let’s start with the view: you’re on top of the world in a coffee farm with a view of th ocean. What’s not to love. The interior is smart, well designed and features are a bit swish but with a nod to the islands heritage and to the farms purpose. Best of all is Linda, who exudes warmth and aloha to all. She is an incredible hostess and makes this a definite serial visit when going to Big Island. A must stay!

This property is private and tranquil with lots of birds, singing frogs, chickens and a kitty cat. My room was very functional with a good size bathroom and comfortable bed. I had delicious Kona coffee in my room as well. Breakfast was top notch and came with an amazing view! Heidi and Dan are wonderful hosts who endeavor to make sure you have what you need to enjoy your stay. You arrive as guess and leave as friends. Thank you Heidi and Dan.

What a WONDERFUL Escape!!! This place is close to the Kona airport, but you don’t hear the airport noise at all. Its up on the mountain side and its sooo beautiful! The B&B sits up above the coffee fields and you look out over the coffee tree tops! Its so peaceful here. You can choose to spend the day sitting and relaxing under the gazebo or in your lawn chair watching the beautiful sunsets every night! Its just a short drive to Kona shopping district and the beaches. Its only 1 ½ hrs drive to the other side of the Island so this is a perfect place to stay while exploring all the Big Island has to offer. The B&B itself is beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast every morning was large and delicious and many of the fruits and vegetables being served are grown on the farm. We got a tour of the coffee plantation and all the plants growing on the farm, including the cocoa and banana plants and we got to sample them too! The owners, Linda and Dan are wonderful people and very knowledgeable about everything on the property and the Island. We really enjoyed talking to them. We are so thrilled that we chose to stay here. We loved it and we highly recommend it to anyone coming to the Big Island of HI!

Thank you, Heidi and Dan! You two were wonderful hosts. The BNB is beautiful, with all amenities you’ll need for a vacation. There’s a comfy bed and bench, the bathroom has a nice shower and is very clean, and I especially appreciated the kitchenette (equipped with microwave, mini fridge, utensils and complimentary coffee from the BNB’s farm) and the hugeeee closet. Bonus, the views — the Kona coast and diverse plants on the coffee farm — are fantastic. Super quiet and restful up there. Our hosts were amazing, and personalized our experience for us. Our only regret is that they wouldn’t let us give them a tip! LOL. But really, Heidi and Dan are great. They helped us in when we came later in the night, and then when we bought some fruits from a farmers market, Heidi was up for incorporating them into our breakfast at our request. And when one of us sprained their foot, Dan ran over some ice packs and compression bandage. They also offered us some beach supplies (chairs, umbrella, cooler) which was game-changing for our chill days. Overall, wonderful experience and would stay again.
