Venezia Resort Hotel

Had an incredible time visiting Rhodes for a short getaway with just myself and friend, hotel staff were all exceptional including my favourite’s Steve on the nighttime desk and of course Stergos in the later afternoons. Food was excellent from bar food in the day by the pool too the evening buffet. Would very much recommend too, families, friends and everything in between. Great job guys!

Just got back home after a lovely 11 days at Venezia Resort ,where both me and my girlfriend have never been before.The room was great and spot on ,but got to say the infinity pool was the star of the holiday.Great weather never fell below 31°so air con was a life saver ,had a few trips out to Rhodes town was great to enjoy the new and old on offer .Also trip to Faliraki to enjoys loads of shops and a beach to chill in the sun or do many water sports .But for me the lovely welco e we got from min one from the staff made our holiday ,from the receptionist who greeted us with a smile and made us feeling wecome .To the staff each day at breakfast, lunch or dinner always hello with a smile and hello .And the entertainment people who would look after us all ,get u to do many things to past the time.And for me the Bar staff in the day always keeping the drinks coming ,we got to know one bar staff really well and made it great for us ,banter was funny ,with a smile and a credit to the Resort and we gave him a tip to say thank and will definitely going back there 10/10.

Wonderful family run hotel with amazing staff especially stergos at reception We had our wedding in the Marrakech oasis and the staff the food and drinks were absolutely amazing Nothing is too much for these guy's there always on hand to help. The hotel itself is quite large with 4 swimming pools and plenty of places to eat lunch like the burger bar or the pizza station The gyros are lovely too. Drinks are on tap so help yourself to whatever you want. Dinner in the main restaurant has different themed food nights and there's lot's of variety to choose from. The water park is an added bonus for children and us adults and there is plenty of comfortable sunbeds loungers to relax on. I highly recommend this hotel for family visits or a romantic break.

True and Honest Review based on our experience; Food Overall we found the food to be of very poor quality. Breakfast was fine and was what you would expect from a typical AI breakfast. Lunch and Dinner left a lot to be desired. There are relatively few choices for the size of the hotel and the standard of those choices was poor. There is a microwave for guests to heat their food up as the food was not served hot. On holiday I love to eat, fish, meats and traditional food however found the choices of this were awful. The chicken masala made myself and my wife ill. The food is labelled however it is not clear on the allergen lists which symbol relates to which allergy. Upon clarifying with a member of staff, they pointed to the ‘wheat’ symbol suggesting this was peanuts. As a peanut allergy sufferer I found this to be especially dangerous when the staff are not aware of their own hotels allergens. There is a rule on footwear in the main restaurant on an evening however only for men. Women can wear whatever they want, men however MUST have their toes covered. I wore Birkenstocks and did not bring any shoes which covered toes and was not made aware of this until I attempted to take a seat in the restaurant and the manager basically sprinted over to tell me I could not dine there with my toes out. When I told him I did not bring any he suggested a taxi into town to get shoes otherwise I could not eat. A woman wearing exactly the same shoes however, was more than welcome. I returned to my room to put on my sea shoes. I would like to clarify I have owned these for around 6 years, have worn them all throughout Greece, in the sea, they are covered in sand and salt. These were perfectly acceptable. Kind of makes a mockery of that rule in all honesty. As part of the stay you get a visit to the a la carte restaurants on site. I attempted to book the Greek taverna and was told as we were a couple, priority would be given to families for this and so we had to check with reception to see if we were even allowed to eat there. They gave us a booking for 7pm on Saturday night, what I would think would be peak time for families, and found we were the only ones in the restaurant. We stayed there for 2 hours and only one family were present. I must add the food here was delicious, extremely good quakity with fresh ingredients and a superb setting. Why was this so delicious and the main buffet so awful? Pools The pool near the cosmopolitan was fantastic. It was big, had a gradient and not too cold. The adults only pool however is the start of the show. The vibes here were immaculate and we spent the majority of our days here. I do wish the traditional music played on a morning could be played at a couple of decibels lower however. The staff at both pools work extremely hard. The children’s pool near the restaurants is also good with a very good lifeguard who engages with the children playing. The slides and water park again are fantastic. The only gripe I have is

Do not trust reception, full of liars. They tell you one thing and then you have to constantly battle with every member of staff over something that we paid extra for. Constantly having to go to reception about 10 times over our holiday either because the staff told us one thing and in reality it is different. Then the other reception staff either tell us an out right lie or tell us that they don't know. The animation team are friendly, maria, emanuel, Tina and the lifeguard are fantastic, but that is all. This hotel severely let's its self down with the food and the majority of its staff. They made me feel like I was a criminal for something that I have paid for. I would comfortably say that this hotel is one of the worst in terms of staff that I have ever visited across the world. No communication, shocking attitudes. Think that everyone has given up as it is toward the end of the season, and we stayed late August. The general manager drives around on his stupid electric scooter and needs to run his staff properly and arrange a proper chef and communications manager. Thank you Venezia for the constant battles and feeling like we need to argue what was agreed and paid as an extra for which really makes holidaying with you so relaxing. Owner needs to stop being so tight throughout the hotel and higher professionals instead of friends and family if you want a perfect example of the level of tightness im talking about, don't take my word for it you will experience this at your free trip to greek taverna or the reheated lunch that you get at the buffet every day (speaking as a chef,) which is why we spent many nights eating out even after upgrading our package. I don't think I have ever wrote a 1 star in my life but this hotel has smashed my usual optimistic nature down to the bone. Well done Venezia you win, 👏. Stergos on reception is the only one that gets things done, unfortunately he is not always around and fails to communicate to the rest of the team, if you need anything on your holiday, do not waste your breathe on anyone other than him as it falls on death ears and follows up with accusations.

Arrived at the hotel late at night with a 11 year old, was offered a ham sandwich on arrival, no late night food offered apart from the sandwich. Got to the room and there was noodles all over the floor, sweets and hairs stuck to the curtains, boxes of watermelon and last guests clothes still under the bed. The amount we paid for the room we was very dissatisfied. The next day my husband went and made a complaint to reception and was spoken to VERY rude by one of the female staff. But then we met STERGOS (hotel representative) and he couldn’t do enough for us, sorted everything out was treated like royalty. If we never had met him our whole holiday would have been a disaster. Lovely hotel foods good pools lovely. Overall a beautiful hotel. STERGOS made our holiday 😊
