Amada Colossos Resort

This was an amazing resort, the staff were super friendly and it was all really nice & clean. The Mountain View from our room was great during sunset. The waterpark was a lot of fun, even for adults. The buffet food wasn’t amazing for vegetarians, but went down really well for my partner who ate meat. I think map or better signage would be helpful to show where all the amenities are as well as the schedule for the activities/shows.

We stayed from the 5th to 14th of August 2025. My wife and I, our 13 year old son and my father. The good points first: The whole hotel and rooms are all very clean and maintained as you would expect from a "5 Star" hotel. The buffet is very good and there is always a great deal of choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff are very friendly. The drink selection was good. The beach is nice and easy to get to from the hotel. The hotel is only 25 mins from the airport. Very good local shop. The lazy river was good fun. The not so good points: Whilst the staff are good, they are very underresoucred, you will be queuing to get a drink, 5 to 6 people waiting when busy. Need more staff. Drinks are good, but don't have slimline tonic for a G&T, so diet sprite is used. There is minimal waiter service for the majority of areas unlike 5 star hotels so be prepared to queue! The comments regarding the beds by the pool are correct and your day will be managed by the pool/towel man who will come and remove all towls if you don't have someone setting on them before 9.00am. Fortunately my father gets up very early and would place the towels in a good location and we would meet him at 8.30 -9.00am then all get breakfast. Again from a 5 star hotel, the customer should be relaxing and going down to the pool when suits them, rather than the hotel dictating your schedule. There is simply too many customers to sun beds and this is the issue. The lifts in the hotel are tiny and one of them broke down so the remaining 2 were very busy so had to queue to get to the 9th floor. The rooms are functional but was very small. No mini bar, just water. Toilet roll very thin and cheap, so you will use more than usual. Just saying! No real management around talking to guests, checking everyone was happy. Could be an easy fix. The main entertainment is not what you would expect with a few guys and girls doing there best but not worth s visit after 2 shows.Basic at best. You also have to sit on hard stone with very thin cushions, not ideal if you want comfort. As it's an Amphitheatre! Around the main bar area, certain musician will attend and was good on some nights, but they finish at 10 and then people just drink and chat and play cards, lots of people playing cards! A little music would have been nice as people were just starting to enjoy the night and then nothing! The restaurants other than the buffet are OK. The Asian was very nice, then the Greek and beach restaurant. But the Italian was poor quality and would have had the buffet instead. Whilst we were there for 9 nights we weren't allowed to book another restaurant as its 4 per 7 days stay. Not good. Which means if you booked a holiday for 13 nights you would still only be allowed to book 4 restaurants as its not pro-rated. We have a 13 year old boy and noted the hotel stated a kids/teens club for 12 to 19 available, this didn't happen. My son went one day for football and was too big as it was 5
