This is definitely one of the top quality locations in Kampala for business lunch. Nice spacious area with free Wifi, quite environment with quality buffet. Open for breakfast lunch and dinner and the place is nice for meetings and hangouts

Stayed here back in October and it is a lovely place, beautiful gardens, great food, fresh juice, BBQ meat and above all incredible staff who look after you so well. Pascal the Manager is fantastic and so is Polly, Ambrose, Kenneth, Jimmy, Arthur, Daphine, Anorita, Brigitte, Mercy and Ritah. Laundry service is available for a small extra cost. Great location to the Makerere school of Public Health. I would really recommend anyone to stay here. I loved staying here and will definitely return. Keep up the great work. Jonathan

I was recommended Mulago Hospital Guest House because it was close to the hospital I was volunteering in. The room I had was $35 per night (apparently the cheapest). This was very over-priced (the bathroom light didn't work, there was often no hot water or water at all for showers, and the wifi would often not work for several days at a time). They have a restaurant on site but around 50% of the menu was not available, and the food took a long time to arrive. The breakfast was nice in fairness, and is included in the $35 price. It also felt very secure, with armed guards at the gate 24/7. Room cleaning daily was also included, but laundry was extra and quite expensive (you have to pay per item of clothing). I had no kitchen facilities so had to pay for meals other than breakfast. I did have a mini fridge in my room however.

No wi-fi, no hot water, a light that flashed on & off above my head all night. They booked/ allowed 15 loud men to conduct a business meeting right next to my room until 4 am. It was noisy most nights with bar music blasting from a stereo. Nothing was done despite complaints. Breakfast was slow so I often didn’t receive it before having to go to meetings. The staff were either too dismissive and rude or constantly trying to become best friends. It was too much!! However, Ambrose & Chris were lovely staff. Traditional lunches were very good value and tasty. My washing was dyed grey! To stay over it’s not worth $10 an night never mind $32
