A beautiful and calming place for a great escape from busy city life. The staff and management were really friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar have a perfect view of the river. The best sunset views. Highly recommended 👍

Sabah Beach was a great stay. Rustic rooms on the riverside provide charm in buckets, and the restaurant food is so good the only other place we ate during our 48 hour stay was at the Kep crab market. We can also recon the tuk tuk tours they offer - a convenient way to see the sights and Sa Met is a lovely, knowledgeable driver. If we are ever back in Kampot, we will definitely stay here.

The location is somewhat away from everything else. The restaurant is the jewel here. The food is excellent. The rooms, being right on the river front, were prone to having lots of insects in them. The bathroom was downstairs and the floor boards had gaps which insects could get through. If you don't like insects then...

The resort offers a back to nature type of stay in a rustic charming location well away from the town proper. The rooms and amenities are generally basic but convey a sense of the adventurous with its treehouse and nature-themed accommodation. Where the place really shines is in its hospitality and service standards. Especially noteworthy were the staff such as Lee, Kdey and Mui who were engaging and warm almost to a fault. While the resort's rates may be budget-priced, there certainly is nothing budget about its staff and service standards. The food offerings were also of consistently good quality, with the bar well-stocked in a variety of spirits and other beverages to satisfy a spread of palates. On the whole, its 5 star ranking is well deserved even if it was never built as literal 5 star accommodation.

We stayed in the family villa/bungalow. There is a king bed with two twin beds directly bunked above the king bed. The space overall was a bit smaller than we expected, but it was okay for the three of us. We only really spent time in there to sleep. The beds were comfortable. There is A/C in the family villas/bungalows, so it's a plus, as the treehouse bungalows do not. Sabay Beach are eco friendly overall which was appreciated. To relax and hang out, we went to the restaurant/common area next to the river. It's a great area to spend the day if you're looking to relax. There are a variety of seating from tables and chairs to sofa swings. The staff are outstanding. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The high point of Sabay Beach is the people. We were a bit surprised that there was actually no 'beach access' to the river, but that was due to our lack of looking closely at the photos ahead of time. You can get in the river from the dock, but you have to swim. There's no wading in. Across the river is a 'family restaurant' that has 'beach like' access. They have kayaks you can use for free, as well. The staff arranged a country side tour for us with a driver that had reasonable English which we really enjoyed and is recommended for viewing the area. Overall, Sabay Beach is good if you just want a quiet, relaxing atmosphere with excellent food and service.

Nice staff, kept a solo traveler company with nice conversations at the bar and restaurant. Rooms were very clean even the tree houses. Road to the location is concrete and decent, go if you are sure you won’t want to go out at dark as there are no lights for the 8km it takes to get there from the city center.

Quaint and peaceful location. Kind, attentive service. Food was delicious as were the cocktails. Close enough to Kampot to get there easily but far enough to enjoy quiet if that is what you're looking for. My tree house was charming though you do have to be prepared for no AC (the fan was sufficient to keep me cool), and for climbing 3 levels. The room itself is on the top level with a toilet and sink but it not adjoined. A little more adventurous for middle of the night toilet runs! The shower is located on the first level and is large and clean. Plenty of hot water. If you're looking for accommodation with a local feel, with lots of charm, and outstanding service Sabay Beach should not be missed. I will be back.

Relaxing. Very friendly staff. Good restaurant and excellent mocktails. Nice view on the River. Convenient for Tuktuk arrangements. Clean rooms. Good aircoconditioning. Natural surrounding in the mid of bamboo. Were there in low season which is not a disadvantage as temperatures are bearable.
