The Square Hotel Kanazawa recensioner

We had a mixed experience at this hotel in Kanazawa. The location is definitely a plus — Omicho Market is just around the corner, and it’s about a 15-minute walk to the railway station, which made getting around relatively easy. However, the room left a lot to be desired. It didn’t feel well maintained or properly cleaned. The in-room tablet didn’t work at all, and some parts of the air conditioning unit were open, exposing dirty interior components — not something you’d expect in a Japanese hotel. The onsen was a nice feature, but often too crowded. There were three washing machines available for guests, but they were constantly in use, even late at night or early in the morning, which made doing laundry very difficult. Staff were okay, but not particularly warm or polite by Japanese standards. Overall, it was a passable stay, but we wouldn’t choose this hotel again.

The room is much more spacious than those in major cities like Tokyo and Osaka. The hotel is within walking distance of Kanazawa’s top attractions: 1. Omicho Market 2. Kanazawa Castle 3. Entertainment District 4. Kenrokuen Garden 5. Kanazawa Station Highly recommended!

Due to bad weather i was unable to come to Kanezawa....cancel 2days in advance however the hotel still charge no show

The location is ideal. Within walking distance to tourist attractions. Staff is polite and helpful

The hotel was kind of in the middle of the city (kind of far away from the station but close to some of the attractions/points of interest). The restaurants etc near the place close pretty early so you might want to get some dinner to go from the station or walk all the way to the station. It was a good deal though, they have a public bath and a gym, pretty nice facilities and rooms too. Would def stay here again ✨

The hotel is at a prime location on the main street and close to most of the attractions. The staff was very courteous and helpful. They served western style breakfast. The spread was good and tasty. The room was nice, clean and well maintained. The occupancy of the restaurant, public bath and other shared spaces can be checked from the room on the tablet. The only issue was that the blinds in the room did not block the outside light. Hence, it disturbed the sleep.

Check in and out was automated, however stayed for six nights had no room service, that was the only downside. The whole room has a fully equipped kitchen and washer.

Walking distance to many attractions in Kanazawa. Room is clean and spacious.

Very nice experience in the hotel. Very new and modern design with nice staff and bike rental.

This is the perfect hotel of you're just looking for somewhere to sleep and store your bags when exploring Osaka. The checkin in self service which was very easy and quick, the rooms are clean and the AC works. At this price point I don't know what else you'd expect. Would for sure stay here again

For the price this hotel is above average. The toiletries were plentiful and the staff were friendly. Overalll great location

Love the hotel and location. Less than 5 mins walk to the Omicho market. Hotel is clean and updated. Will come back again if i travel to Kanazawa again
