The Kanchana Restaurant offers an extensive buffet with a variety of Sri Lankan and international dishes, all while providing panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Throughout our stay, the staff consistently demonstrated attentiveness and professionalism, ensuring that every aspect of our visit was comfortable and memorable. Beautiful resort. The decor in the rooms is a bit dated but authentic to the architect. Would like to see the rooms updated a bit but still 100% worth it and would stay here again as is.

Our vacation in kandalama hotel was extraordinary! The view, food, atmosphere and the service were spectacular! And of course the phenomenal architecture of the one and only Mr Geoffrey Bass, which have made this masterpiece.

Although a little far from sigiriya, but beautiful view with lake and hill,also can see the lion rock.There are many local food in breakfast,everything everywhere make you relaxed.

The heritage Kandalama Hotel is in the heart of the Gungal near a lake. The hotel was designed with consideration and respect for the environment, the animals that live there and the nature that surrounds the hotel. The room is cozy and well-equipped and includes a balcony overlooking the jungle. The infinity pool overlooks a lake where elephants and birds stay. We received a pleasant welcome from the hotel staff. The dining room is immersed in green and the breakfast is great. We received excellent service and personal attention from the entire staff at the hotel. We arrived at the hotel without luggage and they made sure to coordinate the arrival of the luggage for us. We liked Nalinda the kind guide from the hotel who took us on a morning tour and since then we became friends. Nalinda took care of our well-being even after we left the hotel. Thank you very much for a pleasant stay. Definitely recommended for those who want to rest and relax in a dreamy place.
