Seiler´s Vintage Hotel & Spa

Nico and his team were excellent in everyway, friendly, helpful and great cooks! The hotel a high standard with an owner manager touch ... clean and well maintained. All round , thank you! One of our team had an accident on the slopes and nothing was to much trouble for the "Seiler's team" in helping us out.

OOur one-week stay at this hotel was wonderfully relaxing and comfortable. The location is truly breathtaking. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and they were also energetic and dynamic in their efforts to make our stay enjoyable. The service and food in the restaurant were excellent in every way; the presentation and quality of the dishes were fantastic. We also took full advantage of the spa, which was an added bonus. The lounge area was very comfortable, and the hotel coffee was superb. The public transport system from Zürich Airport to the hotel is excellent. We were collected from the train station with our luggage, which was greatly appreciated. It only takes 10 minutes to walk into the center of Kandersteg, which is a picturesque village. We recommend trying a Glühwein coffee at Edelweiss, which is conveniently located on the way. There are numerous winter walks and cross-country skiing opportunities all around, with trails accessible just 50 meters from the hotel front door. The landscape is stunning. We would definitely return to this beautiful place; for us, it was perfect. However, anyone looking for vibrant nightlife or après-ski options may not find it here.

This hotel is a little further away from the train station than the other options, but it's still walkable. Like all the chalet style hotels in Kandersteg, Seiler's Vintage Hotel offers a Swiss environment and feel. (The walk to the gondola up to the lake is about 20 minutes.) The rooms in the front of the hotel offer beautiful views. Rooms in the back do not have balconies. The included breakfast is average (with no hot options). We had dinner at the hotel one night - very expensive. I recommend walking down the main street and checking our other hotels and restaurants for dinner. The rooms were comfortable. I would stay here again.

The single room is very convenient for a short stay and a stay-over on multiday hiking. It is quiet, cosy and bed is comfortable. Buffet breakfast is fantastic! Fresh fruit, bread, cheese… Location is very close to the start of the hike to Oeschinensee and the train station - Totally recommend the stay at Seiler’s vintage hotel

Disappointingly average. First room allocated was totally unacceptable; it shouldn't even be offered to any guest. Room 439 is poked into the eaves. Nowhere to put clothes/belongings, wash basin next to the bed, curtained alcove for shower in the bedroom, toilet in a cupboard, very noisy roof space immediately above your head. Ceiling so low one cannot sit up in bed. They really have a cheek even having this room on offer at all. Breakfast buffet mean compared to similar graded Swiss hotels.

A fabulous, cosy friendly hotel with amazing food and spa. We thought it would be “ok” as we were travelling via the ski operator Headwater, but our expectations were far exceeded. Location great in the lovely village of Kandersteg nestled in the midst of the Bernese alps.
