Over the years, I have stayed at "Il Mondo" on a number of occasions, at times with my wife, and it amazes me on how the level of service, standards of the rooms and other, have remained at the highest level. In addition to the above, the interaction with reception and staff in general has been what I call "old fashioned" yet efficient, when checking in, even if late in the evening, and during my stay. Finally, I have experienced the high level of empathy, when needing to ask questions, request attention to matters or advice in general. It is very rare in these days of "fast get you in and out" service provided by organizations across various sectors. Cheers and thank you till next time PAOLO Lostia

I booked this boutique hotel based on the glowing reviews on this and other sites, but upon arrival, I had to double-check if I was at the right hotel after entering my room. I cannot understand the high ratings this hotel has received. The room was a small, motel-style space that had been refreshed with some paint, but fundamentally, it resembled a typical motel room from the 90s. It felt more like Kangaroo Point Motel than Il Mondo Boutique Hotel. Even the rumbling, oddly smelling Kelvinator-style air conditioner was there, just like in the old days! The room was mostly clean, aside from some cobwebs and a dried-out air freshener bottle on top of the cabinet. The bathroom was so small that you had to open the door to lean over the sink while brushing your teeth. The shower cubicle was generally clean, but after years of use, it is obviously impossible to remove all the soap scum from the bottom frame, as you can see in the photos. Contrary to what was advised in the hotel booklet available in the room, the room was not serviced during my two night stay. This would all have been acceptable if the nightly rate had been at a basic motel level (around $120 at most). However, at just over $200 per night, it felt audacious. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel given the motel experience at a boutique price point

Fantastic stay at II Mondo! The room was perfect - spacious, very clean & comfortable & with a good sized balcony. Staff were wonderful - friendly & helpful. Great location - walk across Storey Bridge & near buses & ferries. I will definitely visit again - thank you.

Nice quiet room with balcony with table and chairs. Comfortable bed and armchair. Excellent internet. Very helpful receptionist. We could borrow city bikes for free and visit the city Centre and the parks. Excellent location. Restaurants within walking distance. Free garage parking. Elevator.

Convenient plus!! Carparking, free WiFi, short walk to many things. Close to bus stop, restaurants, Cafe, ferry and river. Easy access to CBD. Room clean, comfortable and quiet. Friendly and attentive staff. All in all a pleasurable stay

We will definitely stay here again. Lovely little hotel with staff who genuinely care. I was surprised that our room was so quiet. Only a very short walk to a pub and several cafe’s. The room was very clean and even included complimentary bottled water. The free wifi and undercover parking was great too.

Great location, very clean and comfortable room, excellent and friendly service. Chris welcomed up, provided essential details regarding the hotel and local area. He made it very easy. The area has cafes, restaurants, and is a short stroll to the river.

Great place to in Brisbane stay as it is close to a range of restaurants and venues at Kangaroo Point. Ferry services close by so easy to get over to the city. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Secure car parking on site. The hotel offers a range of rooms.
