Hampton Inn Kansas City the Legends

As a diamond member I asked for a snack and was asked to Give My water back. Usually you are given a water and some snack. Here I was given a water and when I asked for 1 snack I was told I needed to give the water back. Poor service for a diamond member

The hotel is very dated. There was hair still in the bathtub when we checked in. On the second day, we asked for new towels and for our room to be cleaned with the bed made. The towels were placed almost immediately, but the room was not cleaned nor the bed made. The inner fitted/zipped sheet on the box spring had a stain (not sure if chocolate, blood, or poo). Not our best stay at a Hilton.

My family has been going to Hampton Inn’s all over the country for years and this is by far the worst we have ever visited. It is in the process of getting renovated which is understandably difficult but the door to our room was extremely difficult to open. The one staff member was not very helpful and they seemed understaffed at the front desk considering it was a holiday weekend. There were already people being very loud and boisterous in the hallway in the early evening. It definitely needs the renovation and it seems to be a unorganized renovation, the baseboards and crown molding were just missing throughout the hotel.

I would recommend staying elsewhere. They're currently doing renovations, but this hotel needs more than that. The rooms are old, the beds are very old, there's really nothing here I would say was above average. I don't know that they'll be able to make the upgrades needed here, it's just an old hotel.

Stayed here on November 10th- Was surprised at the negative revews I saw while writing this one! The staff at the location was very friendly and helpful- My room was clean and I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast- The parking lot was well lit- I didn't notice any excessive noise and enjoyed by stay as my bed was very comfortable- I had plenty of pillows to chose from and there was plenty of hot water! There was also a nice outdoor area for pets- Thank you Hapton Inn- The Legends Staff for having me!

We were just here last summer and I feel like it’s gotten much more tired in a short period of time All the employees were nice, food was basic at best. Not sure what happened to the coffee, was pretty blah. Pool and fitness area especially felt well used. But we slept well and that’s what was important

Old, worn hotel. Hard mattresses. Decent staff. But Hilton has allowed a number of Hamptons to fall into poor condion, this one, the one in Chesterfield missouri, and the Hampton in north overland park, kansas.. DISAPPOUNTING property. Would not stay here again

This was a good overnight stay on a long road trip. Service was friendly. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Prices were reasonable. Overall, a nice stay. Would definitely consider staying here again if in the area.

I have only wrote 1 other review for a Hotel and it was positive, and over 1o years ago, but the public deserves to know what is going on here. I wish I would have read the reviews before staying at this hotel. When you first walk in it smells of HEAVY cigarette smoke. Then the batteries for the tv are not working. SO I go downstairs to notify the staff, and was given a so called new remote. This is true but there is no tv guide on that remote, hence I had no idea what channel I changing to unless I went through the whole list to find what I was looking for. Then the next morning I hear room service knocking on doors, so I gather my dirty towels waiting for them to come to my room; this was 9am. After waiting to around 1pm, I had to leave for a meeting. Arrived back at the room around 9pm, only to find out that my room key is not working, nor has the room been cleaned. So, I go down to the front desk to get the card re-keyed, and to find out why the room was not cleaned. I was told there is a very small stick ion the mirror of the bathroom that says,"You must notify the staff 24 hours ahead of time if you want your room cleaned because of COVID". What? Here is the problem with this statement, no one is wearing mask here, not the staff, or the room service employees. So there were so worried about COVID, what are they doing to prevent it form spreading. I have reserved this room for 4 days, and if I don't get a 24 hour notice, my room will still have dirty towels, bed, and bathroom, and the staff is good with that???? I paid $300 a night for this kind of foolishness? Then to I had to go back to the front desk because she replaced the batteries with more dead batteries. And the final kicker is most of the staff have very bad attitudes, and are not the least bit concerned about customer service. I don't care if this was the last Hotel on earth, they will never get any more of my hard earned money.
