Chateau Avalon

My husband surprised me with a gift certificate for my last birthday. We were so excited to visit the hotel and spa. Our experience was incredibly disappointing. The room itself was nice and we enjoyed the atmosphere. We went to the bar and the bartender could not recommend a drink or had zero interest in engaging with paying customers. Instead, he was interacting with the other staff members who were taking shots at the bar. We had booked a couples massage and I requested deep tissue. My husband who rarely gets a massage leaned up after and could not believe that was what we paid for. I was concerned on whether they are even certified. My deep tissue never did any technique I’ve been familiar with nor worked out any knot. I was charged an extra 35 dollars for no deep tissue treatment. The girls were very kind and so we just went on after without complaining. Overall, if you’re wanting a true romantic getaway with your spouse or significant other, this is not it. The service was lackluster and young kids who were not equipped to provide the service they should for what the hotel charges. You should certainly expect a high level of service for such a beautiful establishment. Sad to say, we will never return and I am sad my husband spent $500 on an experience that was subpar.

The pre-check in was easy and helpful. Upon arrival, I was a little suspect walking up the steps as several pieces of concrete were broken/cracked. Check in was smooth and quick thanks to the pre-check in. We were informed that breakfast was limited to cinnamon rolls only due to no cook available and there was no coffee in the lobby hotpot. Parking and directions to our room were easy and accurate. We booked one of the Lincoln rooms. Immediately I noticed there was not a single place to hang any clothes unless it was in the shower curtain rod. There were no drawers to put away clothes and only a single bag rack. The lighting was good with 6 recessed can lights and a lamp, but no ability to dim the lights. The tv was at 90* to the in-room hot tub, but is not on a swivel arm so as to enjoy a bath and watch TV together. The hot tub was large and clean easily accommodating 2 adults. The king bed was very comfortable and there were several pillows that were also comfortable and supportive. The in-room robes provided were small in size and given that they offer them for sale, it would have been nice for them to ask what sizes were needed at pre-check in. There was only 1 small window which could be a positive or negative, but for quiet and a dark room to sleep in, was definitely a plus. Overall the room was nice, clean and comfortable, and reasonably priced, but lacking in several small details.

Wonderful experience staying in the Egyptian Palace room at Chateau Avalon! The décor is imaginative, the accommodations are luxurious, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and clean, and the jacuzzi tub was lovely. The lapis lazuli walls and colossal golden statues were breathtaking! The hotel seems to cater to couples more than families, and it wasn’t the most spacious room, but it was comfortable and luxurious for a single traveler or couple. It’s located very close to the speedway and Azura Amphitheater. D’Nile Lounge keeps odd hours, closed Mondays and Tuesdays, so I did not get to experience that, and there is no pool. I did not check out the spa services, so I can’t comment on that. The room rates are also quite competitive for the area.

The castaway Room was incredible! The room was clean, spacious & so much fun. Staff was accommodating, very friendly & breakfast was absolutely delicious. Our only regret is not having time to stay longer. We loved this place & will definitely be back next time we’re in town.

Each room has its own theme and you probably couldn’t go wrong with any choice you make. The hot tubs are a great size, big enough for two people easily. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful!! The building itself is gorgeous, clean and in a fantastic location! We will absolutely be back and hope to experience every themed room!

Our room was comfortable and clean. We stayed in the New York penthouse. Jacuzzi was great. Bed was comfortable. This was our first time here, and we’re glad we did. An easy and nice getaway without being far from home. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby too.

My wife and I stayed here for our valentine date. The room was okay but there was no hot water the whole time we were there and we couldn’t enjoy the jacuzzi. When we were trying to leave we couldn’t find anyone to check us out. We payed a lot of money for this room wish it was better.

The outside of Chateau Avalon is the best part of the experience. It truly is a beautiful building. We stayed in the Venetian room and it was just a normal hotel room, made very cramped by the decor. No amenities you would expect from a $300+ room. No bubble bath for the “jacuzzi tub.” Taking a shower in the said tub is a “use at your own risk” experience. It’s very difficult to get out without slipping. We ordered room service and asked for water with the meals. The lady bringing the food said she would come back with water but never did. The food was basically microwaved frozen food quality. The bed was comfortable. Room seemed clean. The TV is not a smart tv so no streaming or chrome casting. There was no hot water during our stay. We received a vague message from the hotel in the evening about working on a water issue, but never received any further updates. In the morning, I asked for an additional towel. When the person brought me the towel, he never mentioned the hot water being off. That was a really cold shower! No one made any efforts to accommodate spending an evening unable to use the tub or shower comfortably. Although, we also didn’t ask because we don’t have a desire for a credit to return. We stay at nice hotels all over the country, and this is not a high quality hotel. It’s worth staying if you have an event nearby, but I would not go out of my way to stay here for a romantic getaway.

As my husband and I were eagerly anticipating a relaxing getaway to celebrate our anniversary, our experience at chateau avalon unfortunately fell far short of our expectations. We had booked a room with a hot tub, envisioning a romantic evening soaking in warm water and enjoying each other's company. However, the hotel was experiencing maintenance issues, resulting in a complete lack of hot water throughout the premises. This unexpected setback immediately dampened our excitement and left us feeling incredibly disappointed. Furthermore, the state of cleanliness in our room was unacceptable. False eyelashes were left on the nightstand, and the surfaces were coated in dust, indicating a lack of attention to detail in housekeeping standards. This only added to our dismay and discomfort during our stay. Despite the inconvenience, we decided to make the best of the situation and checked out in search of alternative accommodations. However, what should have been a weekend filled with celebration and joy turned into a stressful ordeal as we scrambled to find another hotel with availability on such short notice. The inability to enjoy the amenities we had looked forward to, coupled with the time and effort spent trying to salvage our anniversary plans, cast a shadow over what should have been a special occasion. Instead of creating cherished memories together, we found ourselves preoccupied with logistics and frustration. While we understand that maintenance issues can arise unexpectedly, and cleanliness oversights can occur, the lack of proactive communication or attempts to remedy the situation left much to be desired. As paying guests, we expected better service, accountability, and hygiene standards. In conclusion, our anniversary weekend at was not the romantic escape we had hoped for. We sincerely hope that the management takes steps to address these issues and improve the overall guest experience for future visitors.
