Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge

We stayed at this hotel as part of a safari trip during our honeymoon. We were completely blown away by the hotel. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by staff to take our luggage, given a welcome drink, had women singing and dancing to welcome us on arrival and had a seat in the lounge for our check in. We were then taken to our room which was beautiful with the most gorgeous wraparound balcony with an amazing view over the surroundings. We were able to sit outside and watch the sunrise from our balcony. The hotel pool was exactly what we needed after a long day on safari. The food at the hotel was outstanding. We were treated to a four course dinner every night, and the quality was excellent. We were particularly impressed by the service we received from the staff at this hotel. Every staff member was friendly and courteous, and could not do enough to make our stay special. We were greeted with a flower display at dinner saying “enjoy your honeymoon” and were treated to a bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate. At breakfast the hotel had set up a “just married” sign to greet us in the morning. We would like to particularly mention George Mark who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was special. The only thing to mention was that the drive up to the hotel is very rocky, but this is to be expected to get to a hotel in such a remote and beautiful location. We could not recommend this hotel enough. We will always remember our stay here!

2 nights - 3 rooms – 6 guests Hotel: Strenuous track to get there, but safari 4x4 jeeps climb all roads. Lovely bungalows of 2 rooms with solar on deck, in a pleasant garden. Warm welcome with Masaï women. Quiet & relaxing place. Remarkable view and attentive staff. We did enjoy much the Lake Manyara Park visit for its colourful birds, monkeys & elephants so close to the jeep, and for its unique forest. It is also a place to stay after a visit to Tarangire Park, with its multitude of animals, lions, elephants and more… Rooms: Big room climatized, well equipped, private terrasse, outside shower. Food/restaurant: Good food, many Indian dishes. Breakfast at 6am upon request. Menu choice for lunch boxes. Why stay there: To rest in the enjoyable refreshing 24°C pool (when safari does not finish too late), and for its proximity with Lake Manyara Park & airport.

We had a lovely time at Lake Manyara Kilimamoja! The staff was so very attentive and accommodating, going above and beyond to tend to our every need. The food was delicious, the sunrise breath taking, the rooms incredibly clean. We also visited some near by lodges and ours was by far the best one!
