Motel One Karlsruhe

Having enjoyed Motel One before we were pleased to find a spacious modern reception and lovely stylish bar area with a huge array of drinks available. It is possible to park in a car park next to the hotel, if there is room, for about €20. You pay for the convenience. There are several cheaper public options not far away if you prefer. We received instructions from the receptionist and arrived at our room on the seventh floor. It was the smallest room we have ever stayed in and overlooked the balconies of nearby flats. A net and black out curtains ensured privacy. The room was spotless with a hanging area and coat pegs. Plenty of lights ensure great lighting when needed. The bathroom was small but had a good shower and plenty of towels. Shower/shampoo was provided in the shower cubicle. The basin plug could not be moved so water couldn’t be retained in the bowl. The bedlinen was very good and, although only a double bed, it was fairly firm but comfortable. The room was quiet and a good night’s sleep is possible. A shame the room was so very small as the Motel One concept is great. It was fine for a one night stay but might feel a little claustrophobic for longer periods. Many of the clientele seemed to be business people. It is to be recommended and we would return.

It is a brand new property (one year old). The rooms are small but ver comfortable and clean. Breakfast was well done with a great selection for most dietary needs. The lounge in the evening has a very quiet peaceful ambience. Most staff were very friendly and helpful. A couple front desk people were somewhat gruff of dismissive when assistance was sought.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Real good breakfast with a plenty of choice, fresh and almost biological quality - all you can eat. The room was small, but with everything you need and brandnew, very calm to the backside of the motel and a bigsitzed very comfortable bed. The design is modern and well chosen. A bit expensive (about 126 EUR inculded 17.50 EUR for breakfast) but this is only my personal opinion. I enjoyed me stay as an exclusive way to spend one night.

The hotel is brand new and nicely located, allowing to easily visit the city by foot. The rooms are very (very!) small and thus not very convenient but the bedding is good and soundproofing was pretty efficient. Wifi is excellent and there is a nice bar in the lobby. A good choice for a short stay at a quite reasonable price. Note that the parking is conveniently located below the hotel but is expensive. The nearby public parking is 5 minutes away and half the price.

Neu, komfortabel und sauber Wir haben nur eine nacht heir verbracht aber sie war erholsam und ruhig. Das zimmer ist klein aber hat alle nötige Annemlichkeiten und die Möbel sind neu und im guten Zustand. Nur konnten wir nicht im Hotel parken weil alle Parkplätze belegt waren dafür haben wir eine liste von benachbarten Tiefgaragen bekommen die tatsächlich sehr nah und günstig waren.
