Kashgar Summertime Guesthouse recensioner

Do not stay here. We were so excited to stay here after seeing pictures but the room was filthy. I found cigarette butts, food, and dust under my bed. Everything was caked in layers of dirt and the room was falling apart. The sink was filthy, I found hairs on the towels, and the room was freezing. Very dirty.

The hotel is located in a very nice area of the ancient town. We enjoyed the great hospitality by Alyx and the whole team! Always available to help and he organised a trip to the Pamir Mountains. We would definitely come back.

The location is really good as it is inside Kashi Castle. The boss was nice too.

What can I say: awesome place, awesome room, awesome hosts. Alyx is speaks little English but WeChat translate and other translate apps, helps with the English-Chinese barrier. Along with the extremely warm hospitality with his wife who made an effort to make me breakfast before my early 2 day tour at 8 am which is not part of the expenses, made my stay in Kashgar worth wild. With my little Chinese, we exchanged cultural experiences and it was like we were old time friends. He even patiently helped with booking a tour to Lake Karakul and to Tashkurgan, along with getting a border permit (where the tour company was harrassing him for extra info since they never dealt with a foreigner before) and which was unknownly in the Lonely planet guide but under Karakoram Highway section. Thanks for making my stay feel like another home - with friends rather than another business in another city for a female solo traveller.

- Fantastic location, perfect to explore ancient town, eat local food, take pictures, and relax with some tea! - Friendly hosts that provide all the info you need on local sights etc. - Rooms are gorgeous, smoke-free, and the linen is nice! - I’d recommend bringing ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper and eye shades. - The bed is firm - If you’re looking for a driver in Kashi and to Tashkurgen I highly recommend Silk Road Tours (all one word for weixin ID) in Kashgar and the English speaking driver Alimjan! I was travelling alone and they were very professional, on-time, trustworthy and reliable!

Very good location. Very helpful and nice staff. Helped me organise a trip, offered me dinner and drinks.

It’s not easy for foreigners to find a a hotel in Kashgar, but this place was a great place to stay. It really gives you the feeling of old Kashgar. There’s an excellent shop making fresh nang bread about 50 meters away. Make sure to book your bread the evening before because the local people seem to buy there every day.

We only planned to stay at this place for just two days, but we extended our stay for one more day. Our second room (on the second floor) was nice and spacious, it also had a nice view on the old town.

Excellent location in Kashgar Old City. The owner is very nice, can speak English, and provided us with good recommendations to plan our days in Kashgar. Be aware that rooms are (very) small, jt was not a problem for us, but have the right expectations. The shower is not separated from the toilet. Breakfast available every morning.

Oh my God ...what I say about this hotel ..In my 12 years stay in China, I have never experienced such a nice, clean and Wonderful hotel ..The host is so welcoming and can speak English...she offers breakfast including fresh warm milk to everyone. When I came back in the afternoon they even offered us watermelon...all the time there was something at reception to nibble on ...rooms were cozy and airy and traditional...it's right at the start of an ancient town and the whole area is so good for photography or just being lazy .... awesome environment. They do accept foreigners and are very caring. It's like a homely environment. ,,

Beautiful place, very Instagramable. But loud at night like till 2am because of the time difference.

Very cute hotel in the western side of the old city. It’s on a quieter street with less tourists. The owners are very helpful and can speak English. They arranged a driver for us for a day trip to Karakul Lake . They also shared good restaurant suggestions. Air conditioning works well and the showers have hot water.

We stayed here for the second time during our Xinjiang trip and again the service was impeccable, location and vibes of the place are unique. Many thanks to the amazing host, who helped us to ararge the delivery of our stuff and who made our stay in Kashgar memorable
