Lux* Marijani Zanzibar

The hotel is not huge which i loved because the facilities and service feel very personalized. The team is very friendly especially Ally and Norah! I loved the seafood grill a la carte Lebanese restaurant. The beach was beautiful and the see reaf guided hike was very enjoyable. The room was very well kept and comfortable. The next door village has nice local food and products.

Staff is polite and welcoming. Food was good too. The cost of accommodation and billing food wasn’t effective. Simple mistakes were made when billing meals at the catering or reception …..

This is a very nice hotel! The service was nice, everyone was very friendly and wanted to make sure we were having a nice holiday. Rooms and amenities were clean. Fast WiFi everywhere, including the beach. There was a very nice pool and beach area (the resort is right on the water), lots of options in both the sun and shade. The beach is absolutely beautiful. The food was also good- the meal plan was a bit pricey for us, but they have plenty of a la carte options! The local village is also walking distance (less than one mile), and there are a couple of restaurants, fruit stands, and street vendors to try there as well. The only down side we found was that there are not always chairs available at the pool and beach. There isn’t anywhere to put towels when you’re finished, and there wasn’t anybody picking up towels that were no longer being used. So often times there were numerous chairs with no people but covered with a towel, so we were told they were taken. Other than that though, everything was lovely! Would definitely recommend!

Lux Marijani is undoubtedly one of the best beach hotels I have been to. The friendly, happy and highly motivated staff made our stay most memorable. The food was delicious, room was excellent and cleaned on time. . Thanks Aditya for upgrading our rooms, it was a good surprise. The front office and reception staff are very helpful and supportive. If you are looking for luxury and attention to detail, this is the place for you.

Where do I start with Lux Marijani… this was the best place I could have ever booked! From start to finish I could not fault anything. Booked Zanzibar as a destination as I wanted a special place to propose to my partner and Lux made it extra special and truly unforgettable. Check in was fairly simple and our bags were taken to our beachfront deluxe room, the view from our room was beautiful… white sandy beach and turquoise water. We were lucky enough to travel during ‘off season’ but this was a blessing, not a lot of other guests meant at times we had the pool all to ourselves and lots of staff which meant we were looked after very well. The facilities are all great: reception with coffee counter, pool, gym, restaurants, bars and spa. The chefs did a great job and kept us more than satisfied with a great menu, at times even made us something from scratch as we were vegetarians, there is also a special Indian menu which provided a welcome change! The entertainment team did a great job with activities in the pool as well as beach soccer, coconut demonstrations and a cocktail class. The team went above and beyond in creating a special beach dinner which was the scene for the proposal and even recommended a photographer who was great and captured our special moment. The real stars of Lux are the staff… the whole team were available at all times and so welcoming, always had a smile on their faces and made us feel like celebrities! Special mentions go out to Khamis, Haji, Sharif, Abdul and Chef Bilal! I could probably mention everyone to be honest as they were all amazing! Also to Sumit who being the GM was still seen walking around and conversation with the guests, it’s a real breath of fresh air to speak to someone who is so down to earth! I normally do not visit the same place twice when there is so much to see in the world but will definitely return here! I would recommend Lux Marijani to anyone and everyone and it truly will be ‘Hakuna Matata’ Asante Sana everyone at Lux Marijani!!!

I had a privilege of staying at your hotel from 7-9th June to celebrate my birthday on the 9th we had a time of our lives and Chef Khadija was kind enough to make us Swahili food on birthday dinner by the beach which we enjoyed and Mr Martin from the bar was super kind and helpful with all that we needed during our entire stay . The rest of the team also did a tremendous job will definitely come back, I have referred you guys to my friends as well. On behalf of my family thank you guys so much for everything. A haven of peace, in a corner of Paradise: Lux*Marijani hotel, an incredible sea view, feet in tropical white sand… Impeccable service and attentive to your needs so that your vacation is perfect. Spacious room… As soon as you arrive, you will be welcomed with refreshments and a fruit skewer… You are accompanied by a hostess from the reception who shows you around the complex and gives you useful explanations to enjoy your stay, A big thank you to Grace , the hostess, Big thanks to Martin, Nuruh, Saf, to the chefs Dinnech and Bilal and to the entire team of this establishment that I can only advise you. The room is nice and well arranged,the environment is good and relaxing am giving 10/10. The food was delicious and they have different options. Nice beach ,the beach and the water is clean.
