The best about this hotel was the location, it's very close to all the tourist attractions in the old city. The staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the facilities were a bit aged and could do with a facelift. Perhaps the most disappointing part was the food. We had booked the room including breakfast, which was a disappointment to say the least. Besides, this, the dining area was very loud, and the service is very slow. Having said that, the view from the roof terrace is fantastic.

Just nice, I liked the rooftop it was quiet. And the breakfast was adequate. I used the rooftop to do my work and it even reached to the to. I would recommend this hotel because of its location but also away from the Main Street so it’s quiet.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour au Jay Suites en retour de trek Le personnel en particulier s’est montré adorable, super serviable et professionnel. Un vrai plaisir La chambre était spacieuse, propre et confortable, quel plaisir de retrouver le confort d’une douche chaude et d’un grand lit apres le trek ! Un très bon rapport qualité prix sur Katmandou. Le petit déjeuner était plutôt bien (une grande assiette avec toast, oeufs et d’autres petites choses)

3泊利用しました。ネットテレビもあり清潔で快適でした。朝食はアメリカンブレックファーストやフレンチトースト，インド料理か追加費用なしで選べましたが、インド料理美味しかったです。周辺は静かでホテルの前には入りやすいカフェがありました。また利用したいと思います

I initially booked 2 nights but ended up staying for 8. You might find something that looks similar and is a few dollars cheaper but I didn’t even go hunting once I found that Jay Suites had an elevator, powerful AC with a simple on-off controller, a good bed, excellent shower with unlimited hot water, an in-room fridge with 2 free 1 litre bottles of water daily, and a better than average breakfast for about $5. The staff were exceptionally friendly and dealt with one minor plumbing issue quickly and efficiently. If you’re staying in Thamel, it would be tough to beat this place for the price.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was decent. The room is very clean and neat. Hotel is very close to main Thamel street shops, just a minute walk away. Will reccomend this place to my friends whonare going to stay in Kathmandu. They have a rooftop setting on the 7th floor where you can have a view of the city.

A perfect place for a long or short stay in Kathmandu. Comfortable hotel conditions, nice and helpful hotel staff. the very center of the city. Close to historical monuments, shops, markets and restaurants. We spent two nights here. There were no street noises in the room, which allowed for undisturbed sleep and rest

Worst kind of hotel .It has dirty yellow smelling water all the time . You can call the staff for this issue 10 times , but they don’t care . Entire night there was dirty water and hotel management did nothing to fix the issue , please don’t waste your time and money here

Located just on the edge of Thamel, Hotel Jay Suites is ideally located for most visitors to Kathmandu. The proximity to plentiful eateries and businesses that cater to adventure travel is key. The accommodations are mid-range but at an affordable price, which suits for comfort on a budget just before or just after the effort of a long trek in the Himalaya. Compared to other places in Nepal, I would think that an improvement in the WiFi/Internet connectivity is entirely possible and warranted. That would be my only suggestion for making Jay Suites a better stay. Otherwise, the hotel staff were excellent, gracious, and knowledgeable. A special word for Anup in particular, who was outstanding in his service and responses to our queries.
