Corfu Secret Hotel

Amazing stay at Corfu Secret Hotel - very clean, friendly owners, beautiful pool, and a great terrace for breakfast. The only negative point is that you must walk downhill to reach the beach and restaurants. Also, the breakfast could have some fresh fruits. A suggestion for the owner - offer dinner at your facilities (maybe even traditional Greek food?).

We knew this was a basic budget hotel but as we only needed it from 10.30pm to 7.30 am there was no point paying for a decent hotel. As soon as we got there we were surprised that it was so basic the rugs and furniture are very worn and in need of replacement. We requested the standard room with panoramic view. The website shows a seaview in the description of that room type. I will add pictures of the "view". I requested via ******* a refund of the extra paid for said view but it was disputed by the owner. The ******* agent said the owner raised his voice insisting we had correct room and needed to pay extra for upstairs room.

We returned to Corfu in August and were quite limited as to where we could stay in Ipsos as most properties were sold out or to expensive. We found this property on *********** but eventually booked it direct and paid just over £600 for 1 week’s B and B which is good for that time of year. We know Ipsos well and have seen this property before but this is the first time we have used it and were so glad we did. The property is situated up the hill from Pyrgi and then left by the small shop it takes about 10 minutes to walk from Al’s restaurant to the hotel. The only thing I would say is that the property may not be suitable for people with reduced mobility as it’s set over different levels with steps to the rooms and pool. The number 7 blue bus starts at the end of the road and runs through Dassia and Gouvia to Corfu town every 20 minutes. We used this to get to the airport for about 10 Euro’s changing at San Rocco then onto the airport. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the view from the balcony was amazing over Ipsos bay. The room was comfortable and clean and the safe and A/C were included in the price. The breakfast was a bit limited but perfectly okay for your day ahead. I can recommend this hotel highly and we would return when in Ipsos again.
