I have been to Terra Minoika from the 9th till the 14th July. I was there with my wife and my 12yo son. I have no words to describe the excellent stay we experienced in our 5 days at Terra Minoika. I need to mention the spectacular view from our room (Deluxe Suite) and the tasty breakfast. The room interior and the hotel in general are simply perfect! Terra Minoika Boutique Resort is the perfect destination for a quiet and romantic getaway. Stratis and the staff were exceptional, offering warm hospitality and attentive service. The homemade food, crafted with fresh local ingredients, was truly amazing and added a special touch to the experience. If you're seeking tranquility and a genuine Cretan experience, this is the ideal place to stay.

We were unsure what to expect when we drove out of Zakros village all the way down to the beach. The 7km sealed road is another Cretan stunner with fabulous views over the cobalt blue Libyan Sea. Apart from a handful of tavernas (right on the beach and providing excellent food and typical Cretan friendly service), the Zakros Palace ruins and the Zakros Gorge, there is very little else around so you do feel you are on the very remote eastern edge of the island. The villas themselves blend beautifully into the landscape and the natural stone and timber are very easy on the eye. The villas are very roomy, with private courtyards and/or balconies, and excellent breakfasts were included. It is a very professionally run family establishment with excellent amicable hosts, and ample car parking. All in all Terra Minoika is a classy establishment without being pretentious. We were virtually at the end of a 4 week self-driving holiday around Crete so a couple of relaxing, hassle-free days at Terra Minoika was very much appreciated.

The property was amazing! Every detail was thought of. It is family run and they are incredibly helpful in sharing the best beaches and restaurants in the area. The garden is meticulously designed with unique artwork throughout. The stone houses overlook a breathtaking landscape. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Yummy treats were freshly baked each morning. We loved our stay here!

Terra Minoika is a jewel. We do not believe any other boutique resort on Crete could be so special for the view, kindness, proximity to lovely beaches, Minoan ruins, historic monastery and the incredible details found in the artistry and art objects that envelope the resort. We wish we had planned to stay at Terra Minoika for our entire Cretan holiday as the slow pace and natural beauty, simple tavernas with lovely food (and again, the kindness and welcome of the owners) is our idea of perfection.

We enjoyed overlooking the Minoan palace remains, the valley and the vast Mediterranean from our exceedingly well appointed two room unit including kitchen. Picking up breakfast with freshly baked goods at the reception and eating on our veranda was a true delight. Perhaps we enjoyed it so much more because it was so far away.

We travelled to the east of the island and wanted to break the journey. So pleased we found this beautiful and stunning setting . Amazing design secluded but with luxury. Would recommend especially if you want peace quiet and tranquility. Friendly service breakfast fabulous. Tavernas in the bay really good. And view to eat brilliant

Excellent stay
This is a wonderful boutique resort. It is located on a gorgeous part of Crete with easy access to beaches, hiking, and restaurants. There are superb details throughout the villas and the grounds with a lot of unique artwork and gorgeous landscaping. There also happened to be lots of fresh figs while we were there as an extra bonus. Included breakfast was great and plentiful and all the staff were friendly.
I give this stay a 9.9 out of 10. The one thing they can improve on is having more pillow options as the pillows we had were very thick and firm, which I'm sure work for some people.
