Canale Hotel & Suites

We can only agree with the previous 100+ reviews saying how remarkable this hotel is. This was our first trip to Greece and we found the location in Argostoli to be the perfect base to explore Kefalonia. Our room was absolutely spotless and was kept this way every day. The room was really well soundproofed and all the fixtures and fittings were of a high quality, particularly the patio door to the balcony. The towels were lovely and thick, and were changed daily. The shower was powerful and there were complimentary Bulgari toiletries. We enjoyed the hot tub on the balcony and the lovely views. There are lots of cafes, bars, bakeries and restaurants within easy walking distance and we were lucky enough to see lots of turtles in the harbour area during our stay. We really enjoyed using the complimentary spa facilities in the sister hotel a few doors down. The best part of Canale is its staff. Every member of staff is professional and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble from arranging car hire to restaurant recommendations. Canale is so small, it very much has a family-run feel to it. We were even given a leaving gift as we left. Great location, well appointed room (with a comfortable bed) and most importantly, the staff were all extremely helpful. Walk across the road and you can see turtles in the bay - what else can you ask for! Having stayed in various hotels in Greece and across Europe, this was genuinely the best experience.

A beautiful, modern, clean and luxurious hotel which provides a welcome rest. We were upgraded to a Penthouse suite on the 2nd floor. The room was beautifully decorated and was spotlessly clean. The shower and bathroom area were fantastic, we especially appreciated the large shower with a bench. The bed was extremely comfortable and we can’t remember the last time we slept so well in a hotel. The room was very quite. We felt like we were the only guests in the hotel. The view from our balcony over the water was very calming. We had planned to have breakfast on our bacony but unfortunately it was too hot so we had breakfast by the small pool. Breakfast was delicious and abundant. But what sets this establishment apart from other high end hotels is the staff. Professional, friendly but never intrusive, helpful and knowledgeable. All the staff, without exception, give their 100% and seem to love their work. It pays off. In conclusion we want to take this opportunity to thank the staff and we highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for top service and a quiet place to relax.

We want to say a HUGE thank you to all the wonderful staff at the Canale Suites we had the most incredible time, from the moment we arrived we felt like we were staying with friends and family. A very special mention to Costa, Petros and Christina they were superb their dedication and attention to detail kind and friendly attitude was like nothing we have experienced before. The room was beautiful with a stunning view, with a jacuzzi on the balcony it took our breath away WOW. We want to thank Costa for his recommendations his knowledge of the Island was second to none and especially the fish restaurant Vinaries where we had the most fabulous meal in a beautiful setting. Also a big thank you to Petros for all his help and top tips of the best beaches and hidden gems on the island. He helped us with renting a car so we could fully explore, when we had a problem on one of the days we just rang him on WhatsApp and sorted it for us, nothing was to much trouble.He also booked front row sun-beds on Costa Costa beach which are complementary for guests which is stunning. Then we come to Christina the beautiful young lady who brought us breakfast every morning. She was always smiling and was genuinely interested in our what we been up to and what we had planned for the day. She tempted us with all the amazing food that had been freshly prepared everything was exceptional and never ending. We cannot recommend this hotel enough every single member of staff were incredible so thank you for an epic holiday we will never forget, it totally exceeded our expectations. An excellent experience, we would highly recommend a visit. This is a well-managed boutique hotel, focused on the guests, with activities/requirements efficiently organised by the staff at the main desk: whether you need a taxi, car hire, a visit to the adjacent spa, a recommendation for an activity, it will all be made possible with minimum fuss. The breakfast is varied and luxurious (don't expect the conventional UK bowl of cereal etc). The rooms a clean, interesting in design and very comfortable. The optional hot tub was a fun addition. For your lunch and dinner requirements there are many options in the town. It is not clear from the particulars, but the Costa Costa beach and bar (with very comfortable loungers) is 10 minutes in a taxi, not immediately in front of the hotel. The staff will organise your booking (and reserve you a good spot on the beach) - a very easy was to pass a day.

We have had a wonderful stay at Canale Hotel and Suites. The customer service is outstanding. We took advantage of being collected from the airport and enjoyed a welcome drink on our arrival at the hotel. All of the staff were superb, considerate and looked after us so well. The breakfasts were delicious, and a wide range of Kefalonian dishes were offered. Our room was spacious, extremely well equipped and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony with a superb view.
